$400 every 18 years doesnt seem too bad for coils. Still trying to talk myself into getting some msd coils for the 'bling'.

I figure since 7/8 coils are cracked might as well replace all 8

Probably wise especially if you plan to keep it for a few years. Just make sure they’re Densos, OE provider.

Yeah it's not a fun purchase. I did it last year. You could buy one per month for 8 months or just rip the bandaid off.

mine were almost brown and cracked. The rubber boot that goes onto the spark plug broke off 5-6 out of 8. So honestly, if they’re OEM Denso they probably would have been fine if you didn’t touch them. But since you did (like meeee) I had to use GetInTheZONE coil packs. No, Im not proud, but it was all I could afford at the moment. No ill effect at the moment. But I’m planning on swapping them out in a year for OEM

Yeah, nobody has reported any issues with them however their customer service is lacking.

You could always pay a little more and buy them directly from an authorized distributor if you’re concerned about it.

Or buy from Summit Racing. Price should be roughly the same, often get free shipping, and custom service is awesome.

I have my personality. It won’t attach me to a fridge, but I can feed myself hot wings with the shipping cost savings and that’s kinda nice.

hard to believe moisture would actually get all they way in that tube and cause a misfire. This is a short little article by Denso on how coils work for anyone who, like me, had no idea.

Also water is less of an insulator than air, hence it’s more conductive and will create less of a spark (or no spark).

I somehow ended up with Amber LED's on the spedo and tach and warm white on the outside guages. Can't remember why.dash.jpg This is a pic turned up all the way.

Dang. Slipped that one passed everyone. MSD coils have been reported as being terrible in these motors.

Been ordering from Rockauto for a number of years for several cars and only this year have I had an issue. For some reason, I received a box full of conduit elbows instead of the brake pads I ordered. I contacted them and they refunded me right away so no problem. LOL

We also did the water pump, timing belt, and radiator on the Sequoia. Nice little Sunday.

I keep a set of these (Swedish pipe wrench) around for alignment type stuff.
    3417172141.jpg
They were about $80 when I bought them a few years ago. The only snap on tool I own but when googling to get this picture I see they sell them at harbor freight now too for a much cheaper price.

Do those open wide enough for the inner tie rods?
What does the long bar under the handle do?

You spin that silver nut to adjust the opening width of them. I have used them on inner tie rods on a RZR but not on our trucks but I would say they probably would. They come in 4 different sizes so I'm sure one of them would fit.
