Getting the Rago Fabrication dash mount next week. Need ideas for what holder to use for my Samsung S23 Ultra. I have a Ram Mount from a old setup but it was always a pain in the butt because it hits the side buttons.

Could look into pro clip, mobarmor, quad lock? I personally use ram mounts for my iPhone.

Do you have the large or regular x-grip?

Hondo garage has a tablet mount that will hold a 7"tablet and is adjustable. I have 2 hooked up to my plate for when I tow the travel trailer. One for camera one for the the tpms monitor, they don't move and use 67 designs arm

Someone here just mounted a Bulletproof to the Rago plate. I don't remember who it was.

Going to try a UAG Metropolis LT Pro Case that has magnet "magsafe" built in with the RAM Mount that holds a Apple Wireless Charger.

I switched to a magnetic vent mount, and it's been a game-changer. No more button interference, and it's super easy to use. Plus, it's a lot cheaper than some of the fancy phone holders out there.

I will say I did add a support leg to my setup to mitigate vibration. It’s solid as ever now. I also added some 90 degree connections to clean up the wiring.

I’ve never used the MagSafe stuff, but this one is pretty damn strong. It’s a 20mm ball I’m pretty sure

Can I ask your set up for the claw mount? I just ordered the Rago and was looking for a solid mount set up for my phone. After going to ram mounts site I am struggling to find all the pieces for a similar set up.

So this is a combo of things. The phone mount itself then the ics ball, and bullet proof arm etc

I got the ram claw mount and love it.

I went with the Ram base plate and arm but don't care too much for the wobbling. Is this small support from bulletproof? Wondering if there is one for my Ram arm

That’s just a ball claw I made to work for the arm.

Makes sense that you would need that additional vertical support given your use. Given my use, I would find it absurd to need an additional piece to eliminate wobble.

If I had a need to mount additional items, I would go with a Rago/Ram solution. For just a phone or tablet, IMO the ProClip is the best. Easy and very secure mount that can just as easily be removed without damage, does not come above the hood into your field of view and does not impact the use of a vent.
