Ordered some RCI Sliders, now I just have to wait the 4-6 weeks for them to show up.

Yeah I'm not sure how successful they were.

I drove a mile or so to the hardware store and when I came out I noticed the body trim piece for the fuel door was missing. My first thought was "someone tried to syphon my gas". So I get in the truck and turn it on and the tank showed full. So I thought maybe it was just a quality issue and the trim piece fell off.

Drove back home, saw the trim piece in the road and grabbed it. There was no damage or signs of prying on it or the truck, so I put it back on and it snapped back in place solidly. Fuel gauge was still showing as full. No warnings, etc.

Next day, wife and I leave to go get coffee and once we get about a mile away, the truck starts acting like it's got no power when I press the gas. No warnings or lights in the dash, just the RPM gauge struggling to go anywhere. I figure the truck's broken or something so I pull over and turn it off. Turn it back on and it automatically shuts off. Try one or two more times just to make sure and then use the SOS button to call roadside.

As I'm talking to them, all the sudden a warning pops up saying "low fuel". I look at the gauge and it's now empty. Like, that's impossible I filled it up a week ago and had probably only put 10 miles on it since then.

I realized somebody probably drilled a hole in my tank but I couldn't see anything when I got under to look.

By the time the tow truck driver arrived, I had gotten a small jug of gas and had him look underneath while I poured it. Sure enough, gas starts pouring out of that little 1/4" hole.

We live not too far from some junkie encampments, so I'm sure it was someone trying to steal the gas. But goddamn, if they even got it to drain faster than a drip without a vent hole, even if they brought a 5 gallon jug, that's like 25+ gallons of gas that just went all over the ground. Bastards.

Currently awaiting Toyota to do their inspection and provide a quote for repairs. Assuming it'll be a full tank replacement and hopefully I didn't damage anything else trying to drive it. Only 1100 miles on it too...

Just got word from the dealership. The truck is too new for there to be replacement fuel tanks, so I just have to get in line once my insurance approves the repair and just wait for some unknown time before the fuel tank comes off the assembly line and it gets fixed.

Just in time for camping season too. Bastard junkies.

There has got to be a totaled 22+ Tundra somewhere with a decent tank.

Oil change analysis @ 1578 miles. Looks similar to the others I have seen around the 1k mark.

Had the 24TA02 transmission recall software update this morning..... in at 715a, out at 830a. Dealer also performed "16 point alignment check" which I didn't ask for.

Well on today’s saga, I previously had the Trd 3 inch OEM lift installed but I hated how it sat in the rear especially if I towed something. So I ordered and installed the Dobinson 220-440lb 2” rear springs in red of course. Before settling, it has given it an extra 3 inches in the rear.

Man, that's a dick move. A few years back, some ass drilled a hole in my Jeep tank. Long story short, I mixed up some JB weld and put it over the hole. I had every intention of replacing the tank but it held so I just left it. I sold the vehicle about five years later without ever having a problem.

Installed AFE Power front tow hooks. Trimmed the TRD skid plate to fit. My thoughts..... I can't see using these things without causing damage to the front end plastic. Oh well.Spoiler down.jpg Spoiler up.jpg

Trd lift. Heritage grill. Painted grill surround. Ceramic tint. Bfg ko2. Leer canopy.
Did you leave the spacers in from the TRD lift? Seems pretty high for a 2 inch bigger spring.

Yes it’s a little stiffer but not bad by any means. I don’t mind it at all. Someone else said it gets better when you add any weight to it.

Nope I did not. It’s settling still, already dropped 1/2” so it’s 2 1/2” higher than it was. Should settle a 1/2” more or so I’m told

Added the AJT designs oversized cup holder and center console panel. Like that the panel is not an overlay and actually replaces the gloss black piece. Looks better in my opinion and hopefully doesn’t scratch up like the gloss black piece.

Like the cupholders. Why are there so many screws/hole in the cover? Are they functional to attach to the console?
