I tried allocating a crewmax supersonic red 6.5 bed Platinum about a year ago. They put the allocation order in but said good luck. Never saw it. Ended up buying the supersonic red platinum in the shorter bed. I think the problem is the crewmax and larger bed.

 

Mine is pretty rare. It is a Crewmax SR5 TRD OR with softex and heated seats with TRD OR pkg but no convenience pkgs. So it has no front or rear sensors or rear cross traffic alert or auto rear braking, no turn signals in the mirrors, no BSM and the small gas tank and is 4x4. So I have color matched handles and tailgate trim, chrome grill surround and bumper caps in the rear, black mirrors like the pro and the TRD OR Grill with the TRD bed badging and Shocks/springs/axles with the aluminum pedals, trd shift knob and red push button.

 

Oh, we are discussing rarest 3rd Gen Tundras??

How many 3rd Gens have replaced 3 shocks? (1 OEM and 2 TRD 3")? How many have a gash with a literal hole in their rocker panel? How many have rear quarter panels that have been dented and ripped off? What is the number of 3rd Gens that have dented their oil pans and destroyed a tailgate on a tree? Haven't seen many posts about wheel bearings going bad on forums. What about bullet holes in the rear spoiler? Anyone broken tail lights with a trailer yet?

Of those, how many 3rd Gens have all of the above?

I put on bumbershelz for the mustache and rear bumper chrome. Plus a few other changes.

 

Yeh my 2022 had front and rear sensors and would brake automatically near curbs when backing out thinking it was a person or when I would drive in tall grass fields at the farm it would freak out. So got this 2023 and love it. Plus I do not have the remote front air dam either So will make it super easy to upgrade front and rear bumpers not having to deal with sensors or the air dam.

Mine is pretty rare and it took 7 months to get. I-Force Max Hybrid, Limited, CrewMax, 6.5 ft Bed, Lunar Rock/Boulder, TRD Package, TRD Skid Plate, Black Badging and Tono Cover. I went to 5 different dealers. After 7 months, one got the exact ride allocated. The 6.5 bed is the real challenge. Particularly with t he hybrid. It sucks that mear mortals cant order one. Stupid of Toyota to have a configurator on their website that really means nothing.

 

I like your truck. Nice build, great color. But why did you let the dealer install the screw holes in the front bumper for the front license plate bracket? Did they install their decal on the tailgate too? I hate it when they damage your property like that.

Yes, I understand. I am Virginia same as dccrens above and we have the same requirement. But I instructed the dealer to not install the front bracket and while I run on the temp tags, I have ordered the 3D printed bracket I discovered in this forum. I really did not want those screw holes in the bumper and I considered the price the gentleman is charging to make the bracket reasonable. since the plate always has to be on, I don't care about the holes, it all looks the same with two bolts through a license plate.

 

I was at treatment all day yesterday, now that you reminded me I will dig it out.

 

I like to believe that I got myself a Toyota unicorn.
2024 I-Force Max Hybrid, 1794 edition, CrewMax, 6.5 ft Bed, Lunar Rock/ Saddle interior, TRD OR Package, TRD 3" factory installed lift, PPF and bed cover.

Unfortunately, the factory removed the TRD skid plate from the OR package due to the 3" lift (stupid the engineers couldn't make it compatible with the factory 3"). Looking into a 2nd hand TRD skid plate and modifying or an aftermarket alternative to protect the undercarriage.

About 6 months from order to delivery. Mods are starting soon.

 

Nice find!! Definitely another unicorn. And I completely agree on the TRD skid plate thing...hopefully they fix that issue in the 2025 model.

Y'all crack me up talking about how 'rare' the truck is. When the only thing that differentiates it from the others on the road is YOUR specific combination of dashcam+heated seats+no convenience package like that actually matters hahahaha. Someone said they wanna put a 1/xxx badge in their sr5 crew cab I am DEAD!

Anyways, if yall actually wanna see something rare, here is my 2024 TRD Pro in MGM Paint with the Cockpit Red seats. As rare as they come, since the red interior is for the black paint code; and they only put it in the grey's when they have leftover at the factory. Took me 10 months of calling dealerships across the US.

Also I know y'all must be wondering, yes— That is a Demon 170.

Rare Tundra?

Seeing a TRD with scratches and dents on the skid plates and body. You know actually taking it off road.

Eurodriver is the only one I've seen so far even if not a TRD.

8ft bed work trucks in the new gen are very rare too.

 

We are about a pair of jean shorts and white new balances away from being corvette owners.

I walked away from two Pros because they had the red interior.
