I see lots of guys saying how much these help with seating position, leg support, help with fatigue, etc. The seating position in my ‘21 TRD Crew Max seems fine to me. Is this a case of I don’t know what I’m missing, or do they help just a few folks who put in long hrs. behind the wheel? Thanks.

For me, it was a matter of not knowing what I was missing. I got used to the seat being flat, at best, instead of being able to sit back, down & in like other bucket seats. Once I installed the jackers, it helped a lot.

Seems that it helps the taller guys. Me, 5'6, it would actually be worse for me. It lifts the front of the seat. Right now I have mine raised midway. If I put it higher by means of the factory adjustment, then my legs would be to far from the peddles. Same goes if I installed the seat jackers.

@Warreng thanks for the link. Tons of likes there. Pursuit, I’m 5’10” so I guess I fall in the average range. I may try some wooden spacers just as a temporary test fit before committing.
    Thanks guys.

Yeah, depends morebon your height and time behind the wheel. For quick trips it really isn't noticeable. But if you are in the car for multiple hours, it can help. Without the seat jackers, I would be sitting with a lot a weight on my ass and feet. With the seat jackers, my thighs are now supported so I can just sit and relax in the seat. It made a huge difference for me. I'm 6'1" I thought this was a fantastic product.

When I put the clazzio leather seat covers in my Tundra I found myself sliding forward a bit while I was driving, having to shift my weight back now and then to adjust. That's why I opted for the seat jackers and it definitely helped in that regard.

I am 6’8” longer torso. Never really realized how level/tipped forward the tundra seat was but heard about seat jackers and decided to try them. Sat in the car the first time and was unimpressed. Took it out on the highway the first time and it was night and day! So much more comfortable!

I know personally it felt weird initially, I had to fully readjust the seat, but it felt right after a few days. It took one trip of like 40 minutes to fully appreciate the benefit.

I'm also 5'10" and I can't recommend them enough. One wouldn't think by looking at them that an inch can make a big difference, but as I tell my wife, an inch can be a pretty big thing.

    o_O

Seriously though....definitely a case of not knowing what you're missing. To me it's the difference between sitting 'on' the seat...and sitting IN the seat. I never felt the seats were uncomfortable, but neither were they super comfortable. I got my Katzkin leather seats and the Seat Jackers installed at the same time, and holy smokes, it's like a new truck! :)

I'm on the shorter end at 5'7". I adjusted my seat to have the bottom part angled up, essentially doing the same as seat jackers. Never found it being uncomfortable or anything else.

Now when I had my 14 Tacoma, That thing could have really benefited from them.

Definitely makes the seat feel more like a bucket. haven't gone on any long trips since adding, but I can tell it's a good bit better.

I agree with the consensus here that they make more of a difference for taller folks; longer legs need more vertical thigh support. I'm 6'4" and I've had them in my Land Cruiser for a long time. Once I got my Tundra, they were one of my first purchases.

    I'm 5' 10" also.

I used a stack of fender washers as a mockup, just to get an idea of what the effect might be. Without longer mounting screws, you can't make a mockup as thick as the real thing. But it still gives you an idea.

I just ordered a set for the passenger seat. The wife and I are taking a 2200 mile road trip in June, and I want her to have the same comfort I do. Plus, if she drives, I'll still be in a jacked seat. :)

I am 6'-3" and was seriously considering trading my truck in before i found Seat Jackers. It has made a world of difference for me.

I added a set on the passenger side last summer and my wife immediately said that the seat was way more comfortable. Best mod i have done on my truck to date.

I'm 6'2" 265lbs and I didn't like how I kinda felt like I was being leaned forwards towards the front of the truck. I use the jackets and still power tilt the front of my seat all the way up. Made it a 6/10 comfort to 9/10 comfort rating for me.

Whatever this forum told me to do
the only way to make seat jackers better is to add a Supercharger.

I installed them on both seats about two weeks ago. Took me about a week to get used to it but much more comfort with better leg support. My wife is not quite sold yet.

oh hey man. Let me help you there. Thanks for asking, this is what I found and it works:

    10mm 1.25pitch grade 10

    50 mm long or a

    60mm long bolt
    W/ ss spacer

much more comfortable for 12$ going to attach a rubber collar around to make it more visually appealing, but not necessary.

This may be ok for mocking it up to see if you like the feel, but I am not sure I would trust it long term due to safety concerns if in an accident.

Really comes down to the length of your legs as opposed to overall height...

When you are in a comfortable seated position that you normally drive in, do you find that the angles of your knees and ankles feel 'right'???

In other words, is there stress on your joints to keep the heavy parts of your body (thighs, butt, calves, etc..) in a comfortable position, or are the joints under 'tension' to keep the rest of you comfortable (which causes fatigue during a long drive)??

I'm 6'0" w/a 34" inseam. My '08 (which I've had since it was new) always felt 'fine' to me, so I never really thought any more about it. It is an SR5 w/cloth power seats for reference.

I purchase my '21 Pro and decide that I want to run the Desert Does It Multi-Mount Panel and was thinking that if I added the seat jackers to it as well I'd have a little extra clearance between the panel and the floor for 'accessories'... So, I end up purchasing both. I install the seat jackers and at first don't really notice much of a difference; that is until I take my first 4-5 hour drive. About half way through instead of my legs getting a little shifty for comfort and frequently changing my left foot position (outstretched vs. knee bent in), I find that I'm just comfortable... My left foot is comfortably flat on the floor, my left knee is bent at a 90 degree angle, and both thighs are being supported by the seat bolster instead of my legs.

I think if you're floating somewhere around a 30" or less inseam, the factory seat position and support bolster will probably land in an appropriate spot, but at least in my case (and I'd imagine for anyone w/longer legs) that the seat jackers are in fact effective and serve a purpose

Bottom line is that it's much like tactics and sex... it's all about angles and inches :spy:

@Tripleconpanna being 5’9” with a 29” inseam I guess I’m about on the cusp. Maybe I’ll mock up something before spending the $. Thanks for your insight.

I am 5'8 with a 29"-30" inseam and still on the fence as well.
I agree that a mock up may be needed before I spend money on something not needed.

Something else to consider as well, is that these things sell pretty fast through our marketplace as long as you're willing to take a loss of 10-20% on them. You both are eligible to sell on the marketplace, and it might be easier to just flip them if you decide against them rather than a trip to the hardware store, assemble a mock-up, removal of the mock-up, order, wait for order to arrive, etc....
    Just a thought :monocle:

I was thinking of throwing a few similar sized sockets in there just to get a feel. Plenty of knock-offs on ebay in the 30.00 range as well.

I'm 6' with a 34" inseam, and they do make the seat far more comfortable for me. My wife is 5' with little peggy fleming legs, so no jackers on the passenger side, lol.
