That sump pump could be an issue if there is standing water but they didn't dig the hole. Is there any vapor barrier put down?

That was my biggest f-up with my house. No vapor barrier and I have high humidity. I have a dehumidifier in the crawlspace now and one on my main floor because the humidity gets up to 70% without it. I plan on putting down a vapor barrier myself here soon, when time and funds permit. I received 2 quotes on crawlspace encapsulation; one for $30k and another for 11k.

Old vinyl my dad had on the truck for his a/c & power window shop (his mobile #) The "ghost" is just cause the clear coat is nicer and wasn't exposed to the elements all those years. Lol

No, I don’t think there’s a vapor barrier and it’s probably the reason there was black mold on the drywall down there. The water marks on the foundation walls didn’t really appear that bad but they were still evident.

That should definitely be your #1 home project, especially if there is black mold present. That just means that there is more black mold that you can't see. That's a hazard.

I probably just wouldn’t build a room down there and just try to keep it dry with ventilation (there’s basement windows). I’d only try to make sure with an inspector that water is not getting past the roof and down an interior or exterior wall if they can inspect that.

What do you mean "didn't work"? You don't get any confirmation if it works or not. You're supposed to enter the code in the "How'd you hear about us?" box!!

You'll see the deduction when they bill it later, and mail you the receipt or whatever. It doesn't work like normal stores. They're just a mom-and-pop-shop.

Living on the edge? Make sure you post your ball joint failure on Facebook with the rest of them.
