The OP was to quote that truck. The guys who know me know I personally have replaced mine twice in 2 years. Made the mstake of getting them moogs the forst time, made it like 2700 miles before they gave out. Also that was me living 20 years ago in my head.....

Anyone here from Vancouver Island looking for a parts truck (or maybe repairable)? Actually looks pretty clean, says won’t start, they tried a new battery and sounds like gave up- no idea on the frame…

He specifically says, "no I won't sell the cap separate", I thought that was hilarious.

Probably the starter or a bad positive or ground terminal to the battery. They can go bad in near ocean environments. Its probaby worth the buy in parts alone if you cant fix it.

    Interesting. Tomorrow’s weather:

    1. Several inches of rain all day.
    2. 30 miles north of me 8 inches of snow.
    3. 30 miles south of me dry and sunny.

    Guess where I’m going? Haha

Curl up on the couch with a good book and nap intermittently to the sound of the rain with a warm bowl of soup for lunch?

Not with the way NH salts their roads unfortunately. Did that my first year of ownership and regretted it since.

Clearly in a place where they say faaawg instead of fog and pray that everytime it rains it'll really be Tom Brady spent nut falling from the sky. Great party city tho

Can’t you just lay out black Visqueen instead of installing $30k of whatever? That’s what code was up here in the wet side of oregon. Staple the plastic directly to the pressure treated sill plate along the entire perimeter of the crawl space. 2 guys could knock it out in a day.

$500 CAD?...swoop in and offer up two bowl fulls of poutine and a bag of Tim Horton doughnut holes. It would be a great donor truck to get ALL the 4wd components off of and swap them into a 2wd for cheap.

I vapor barriered 400 sq/ft or so of crawl space with 6 mil Visqueen. Couldn’t have been more than $150 all in.

Pics or it didn’t happen. Also added a center support beam and re-insulated under the floor with R19 bats and covered it with R3 foam board, mostly to hold the bats in place.

I don't think Poutine is as big a thing over in BC as, say, Quebec or Ontario. But I'm not Canadian, just spent a chunk of time there with an ex or two, one from BC, one from ON.

Curiosity only, did you tape the R3 seams?

I'm poutine right now. Can't you smell? I'll be whippin' out my dictator any second now.

Word of advice. In general it's bad, but when in Quebec and surrounding area especially, don't call poutine "poo-tahn", it's "poo-teen" or "poo-tin" depending on your personal take.

Hey, speaking of dick taters ...

Work was so shocked by the success of my site spin-down, VP of HR and my manager kicked me a $200 gift card for Home Despot.

I have no f'n clue what to buy. Had they just given me this 3 weeks earlier, I would've bought our replacement microwave with it. But now ... shit. What's the reco? I can't think of any power tools I need, much less any tools I'm missing.
