I just installed the TIS Techstream version 18.XX but the highest it will go is 2023 Tundras and not 2024 :( Anyone got the TIS Techstream that will work with a 2024 Tundra? What exact version do you have on your TIS?

Are you referring to the Amazon or internet lite version? It is going away altogether very soon.

You’ll need GTS+. What is it you’re trying to do?

OK, that's good to know. When I connected it didn't pull the info like for my 2021 truck so you have to manually select the specs and add the VIN to it. Is that normal behavior?

yea sounds about right. i think the first time i had to add my vin then next time it remembered the vin but had to add everything else again. i recently added a TPMS to my spare with TS, so trust me it works.

I need to connect you two guys. My Navasota friend or I are not very fluent in TIS so we could use a hand :)

Let me take a look at the tech stream settings this weekend and see if I can figure out what he needs and I’ll take some pictures if I can find it. I saw his thread about needing to "Turn ON Analog Disarm with factory key in the door".

How does the extra wheel appear on the dash where it shows tire pressures?

Awesome, thanks for the photo! Do you have the part number for the tpms you used? I looked at tech stream for the tpms, what did you do when it asked for a wheel location/auto learn?

I’m still working on this. So far I haven’t seen anything in the customizable menu. I was going to check in the security ECU but my laptop needed to download framework first then a bunch of updates. Ran out of time for the day but will take another look later this week, as long as my laptop finishes the updates. It’s very old and I just keep it for tech stream use.

I just poked around again and couldn’t find anything. There is a security ECU I tried but didn’t want to proceed into after the warning it gave me. It said something about this ecu is for writing keys, or something along those lines. I cancelled out of it. Didn’t want to risk messing up my one and only key fob lol. I don’t think the setting he was looking for would be in there anyway. Maybe he should try a different dealer to see if they can get it done.

No dealer will do it for him nor even tell him how to do it as this will be a legal liability play. He tried that venue already and even tried to get access behind the scene to one of the techs, and same thing nobody wanted to touch it. I think his best bet will be an independent shop with TIS access willing to make the changes for him as long as he agree to the liability of these changes. The truck is under warranty so he can play "stupid" if something goes south, right :)

I know this thread is a few months old but I have a question regarding TechStream. I have a 2024 CrewMax SR5 4x4 (non-off-road). I installed the mode selector switch to get MTS as I’ve read many have done, but apparently that doesn’t work for the SR5 versions. I was wondering if TechStream could activate it so that the MTS selection switch would work for me. Would anybody know if that’s possible? Thanks in advance!

What exactly are you trying to get it to control? There are other parts required the truck doesn't have.

I’m just looking to have the multi terrain selection capability. I know that the DAC/Crawl will not work for the same reason you mentioned, that there are parts needed for it that my truck does not have, but my understanding was that I should still be able to utilize the MTS if I installed the selector switch for it. Am I wrong on that? If other parts are needed for that specific feature, out of curiosity what would those parts be?
