I've got a Volant CAI, TRD dual exhaust with resonator removed, JBA longtubes, and DD 12's. I can't wait for the addition of the 4.10's and an LSD that works haha.
I wish this truck had vvti and a 5 spd. Oh well.

Whoa... I didn't know ACs came with the wood grain. I thought that was a DC/Seq thang.

I’ve already got a similar set. Let me try it. Still might be too thick.

Armor All will dry out your plastics IIRC. 303 is superior, and offers better UV protection. It basically rejuvenates the plastic and UV coats it in one shot. Great stuff for rubber and plastics alike.

I retrofitted, but I've seen other ACs with woodgrain, and clearly the door controls being wood grain would suggest it's not just a DC thing.

I used a simple plastic spudger tool. If you have an iFixit kit or similar, that should work. Anyway, make sure you pop at the hinge/pivot side. It doesn't take a lot to pop out that side, then it slides right out.

    Didn't notice the door controls!
I had slick carbon fiber covers on the same parts, plus the gauge bezel, on my Tacoma. PO had installed em.

Not my Tacoma pictured. I had moon mist interior.

I had an ifixit kit. Just can’t find it. Might try a a thin dremel wrench to push on the tab while I pull down on it with a pick tool.

I slide up and sort of push inward on the lens and down at the same time, it usually plops down and free. Dunno.

Okay, I was coming at it from the other side. So push it from the side you’re on to pull it down. Great!

I attack from here, at the pivot. The nub on the pivot is what holds it in on this side. Note the tab for the pivot pin in his 2nd pic.

Thanks, @JakeJake Your method made it super simple.

@shifty` You were right, no screws behind the lens though. Just a tab to squeeze together to pull it out.

Those plastic tools also have a great secondary use. Cleaning the burnt bbq sauce off the bottom of my portable Weber grill.

Looks like I’m going to need a borescope to see under the headliner after the next rain storm to see where the water is leaking.

Is that foam piece supposed to be multi-colored?

It’s silicone ingredient free which is what contributes to drying out and cracking of plastic/vinyl surfaces.
