Hi guys! So i went to install my 6112/5160 shock upgrade on my 2010 Sr5 4x4 Double cab yesterday and hit a snag on the rear, you know the easy ones lol! Turns out the previous owner had rancho or sky jacker or some red booted shock installed that used different hardware (inner diameter too small) I called Toyota in my area and they want $170 for 2x washers and 2x pieces of rubber and im not paying that. Does anyone have a better soloution to find this hardware? I have the top nut and thats about it. Thx in advance!

    Local Auto Parts Store.
They sell suspension components such as bushings and washers. They may have some that are suitable for this.

I checked and so far no luck im still calling around though. Everyone says oh that should be parts that come with the shock and then they say go to the dealer :(..... Go figure cheap replacment shocks come with hardware but performance expensive Bilsteins do not....makes no sense...

My rear Bilstein 5100 had me use existing stock hardware when I replaced my black shocks.
I can't remember if my 5160s had hardware or I used existing OEM..

But if you are searching for washers and bushings, the pic in the @RobertD link is what you need.

I think mine have OEM hardware.

I Know i know, i am just frustrated because if your installing on a brand new truck then easy peasy no prob but they don't take into account you might need new hardware if the truck is older or like in my case has been switched to something else. At least make a kit available for purchase after the fact instead or paying out the wazzoo for OE.... I read they used to provide kits from Bilstein also.

Contact the guys you bought it from, and ask if they buy shipping insurance. Must be lost during shipping. All the packages are thrown around thousands of times until it thrown to your door step.

The most important part is the black stopper washer, all other stuff is just rubber

Hit up @memario1214, he sells Bilstein stuff and should have what you need. Send pics of what you have and he will help identify what you need. Dude is a solid vendor and it should be much less than the 150 you were quoted.

Dang you guys kill it with info!!!! Im really digging this forum!!!

I moved from cali a few years ago now in UT but thk you sooo much for the offer!!

I remembered a place that i have bought parts from in the past and they got me out the door for $115 for all OE parts. Yota-shop.com if you are ever needing oe sensors, hardware, exhaust bolts, etc.... I have had really good experience with these dudes. I will let you guys know how this all pans out! Trucks at the alignment shop as i type this.

I'm glad you were able to find something! That said, for anyone who might stumble across this post down the road the full parts bag SKU is B4-KT1-Z507A00. Bilstein can usually break a kit down in a pinch, and sometimes we have them on the shelf here as well. Generally it would be about $30 per kit.
