    Hi all!

Currently getting 5.29 gears and a Grip pro installed and it has me thinking about the idea of a traction bar given the added torque after the above mods go in. I also have Icon RXT’s on option 1 which are super soft leafs and 8110’s in the rear all of which provides a very loose / soft rear. I am thinking after gears and LSD the axle wrap will be bad and my leafs will flatten pretty quick.

Looking for solutions I found these SDQH traction bars: https://sdhqoffroad.com/products/to...5445795&pr_seq=uniform&variant=32089726812260

they look great and I like the design. No clearance loss, I guess I am only concerned about losing off-road performance / articulation. SDHQ says they won’t, but wanted to see if anyone had some before / after experience with these.
Any insight is greatly appreciated. Thanks all!!

This was a thread started by the Vendor (SDHQ), but it might have some comments/info in the thread that would be helpful....

Also, try hitting up @reywcms I don't remember for sure, but I thought either he had them on his rig a while back or his dad had them on his rig at some point. If so, they'd be a great source for comments and info

    Too many mods to come
Sorry for the delay! Yes, we had these on the old man’s rig and they worked amazing. Especially with his additional mods and weight/power. I would recommend them. No noticeable loss in offroad performance while he had them.

Hey friend! Great to hear! Any real loss in off-road performance? I know the SDHQ design might be a little different, but would be curious how the before and after felt to you on road / off. Thank you again!

Sorry, can't compare, installed on new truck at very low mileage. Much different off the line though.

Im also interested in these traction bars but im not sure about how they will affect clearance while offroading thru rocky terrain, climbing ledges, going over stumps and logs, etc. hopefully someone while post their experience with these going thru this kind of stuff. Im sure clearance of traction bars wouldnt be much of an issue with a shorter wheel base rig. But with tundras being on the longer side of offroad rigs, clearance is always a concern.

Id be willing to be the guinea pig if @SDHQ wants to send me a set to test out. Id be happy to post all my pics and video reviews for everyone . :D

gotta shoot my shot at least, right?

Bit the bullet and ordered a set for my supercharged rig, will know soon how they do offroad. My axle wrap wasn’t terrible as I had much stiffer springs but still evident and don’t want to mess up my driveline components. The motoiq video is what sold me as I have a very similar build: https://youtu.be/bYo6wqeJSgA

Going to be purchasing these but figured I'd ask before I place my order. Any forum member or forum vendor got the hookup on some small savings for these? Thanks.

Has anyone with the traction bars run with extended fuel tank? I've reached out to SDHQ but they aren't sure, and LRA/Transferflow aren't sure either, I really would hate to buy a fuel tank only to find out I'd have to remove the traction bars.

I'm worry the bracket that mounts to the frame would interfere with the tank, I can't get a clear photo anywhere online.

i’d say that the front bracket and button head cap screws comes off the frame rail about 1/2”

Yea, I may roll the dice on this.

I think it should clear based on this.
