None yet, some to come !
New to me 2002 TRD limited half cab tundra. Super excited to get it. Needs a few little things but I think I made out good. 210 k miles on the clock all dealer maintained and service records, timing belt done both 100k intervals. Gonna plan to take good care of it and the frame is spotless, I believe it might have an exhaust system, new bilsteen shocks all round, new tires, Asking 5000 talked him down to 3400

Things it needs and things I’d like advice on going forward!

    1. Gas gauge seller says works when it wants to.

    2. Going from 1st to second or 2nd to 3rd it’s a little bit of a rough shift. Googled it while checking the truck out I seen the remedy is better tranny fluid, seller has had the truck since 60k miles and took it to multiple dealers to get it checked out and they said it was normal.

    3. No key fobs. Where would I find good cheap replacement fobs?

    4. Needs exhaust leak repaired. Self explanatory there

    5. Gas door is a little finicky but also so is the drivers door. Thinking maybe the key was recut and I need a better cut?

    6. Possible to switch out steering wheel for one with controls?

    7. 4x4 works, goes in and out if it but never says it’s actually engaged. Only blinks, maybe a bad relay?

    Things I want to do:

    -Level lift

-20x10 or 20x12 on some 32’s or 33’s (trimming needed?

    - apple car play and back up cam and heated seats (can probably do my self)

    - paint match everything black

    - has a remote start but he can’t find the remote, I’ll have to figure that out and see what model viper system.

    Overall very happy and excited!!

    Literally this ^^

And on the Viper, contact DEI @ 1-800-274-0200, maybe they can get you sorted with a replacement remote. If you want something more immediate, use their lookup tool to find an authorized dealer near you, who can probably stick their head under your dash to find the model, and maybe sell you a remote on the spot (and program for you if needed).

Yikes, building a malldozer, eh? Good luck with those. 10" wide is the killer, gonna need 2" wheel spacers up front to clear them, and you may still eat body. You'll only be able to put rubber band tires on it. Pretty impractical overall. You sure a 1st gen Tundra was the right truck for you? Could probably more easily get what you want with a Dodge/Ford/GM.

My thoughts as well when I saw wheel choice. There's a guy around me that has a 4th gen 4Runner V8. Carolina lean, straight piped exhaust, wall of subs behind the hatch window, and some rubber band tires on way too wide dubs.

Makes me cringe every time I see it.

Meh, in/around ATL, you usually only see that kinda stuff from white suburban high school boys' trucks. Sometimes in the exurbs. Rarely in ruralia.

I will say though, some forum members have managed to pull of 20s without it looking malldozer-y.

    Like ... @Weagle on 20x9: https://www.tundras.com/threads/tir...dc-2wd-with-least-neg-offset-and-lift.136177/

Others have looked a bit malldozer-y, but just linking in case malldozer is OP's intent: https://www.tundras.com/threads/looking-to-see-if-i-can-fit-305-55-20.119204/page-2#post-3387966

If someone wants to Mall-doze, let em. While it's a shame to see a good FGT go down that way, It's their truck, their $$. Not my cup of tea, but hey, 'Merica and shit.

Edit: there is a new one in town, somebody just got thru doing on a Z71 suburban like a 2010'ish model, its like new new i have only seen it a few days.
Looks like a 10" FTS up front and stock in the rear. They powder coated all the front suspension yellow or lime color and have a triple shock hoop up front, they spent some money to look stupid.

I think @TX-TRD1stGEN said it well over here:
There may be additional resources floating around for you @parkss1181. I remember @KingFreeman was working on building up maybe in a similar style, but haven't seen him around in a bit. There was one other guy who was also working on similar, I believe here somewhere in GA. Unless that was him.

Yeah, clearly I use that word too much because five of those results are linked to posts/threads where I used that term. I'm actually surprised the green AC with gold badges I saw down in SGI, FL ended up in the list. I'll be curious to click thru and see why.

But hey, if my truck is a malldozer, so be it

It’s not a big deal if I can’t do 20x12s. I’ve seen it done, might have to trim some of the body mounts but I did that on my last runner. Either way I’m gonna need to dig deep in the transmission issue before I do any modifications as that’s my main concern. Overall it’s clean though. Appreciate all the quick answers! If anyone can direct me on how to post pics that would be fantastic.

So will the wheels and tires cost more than the $3400 truck? If so, Malldozer approved.

That’s a great price for a rust free frame.

I assume it’s rust free, is it not?

Depends, are you on mobile or a computer?

On computer and mobile, in the post reply window you can use this button to upload as many pics as you want. You can also drag/drop photos into the reply box if you're on a computer.

From your phone you can copy the photo in your photo library and past it directly to you post. From PC you'll have to add it using the media tabs on the top center right

It's a reference to a thread @Moyota got banned for recently glamming up squatted trucks. Had a really strong Pucks vibe to the whole thing.

Definitely wouldn’t be doing a squat, just a level lift.

I will check that out here in a minute I’m on my phone. Thank you everyone for the quick help

Here are some pics. Sorry for being a noob lol. Bring 26 and can barely work the picture aspect of the forum but overall I think it’s clean. Needs some interior work as well. But my main concern is the transmission, going from 1st to 2nd or 2nd to 3rd a hard clunk under light load, didn’t quite feel it while accelerating hard. But I’ve read about the overdrive gear failing in the 00-02s. I guess worst case Scenario I put it on my dads lift and swap with a 03-04 one if I can find one for a good price, if it even comes to that. Need to troubleshoot first
