I have 4800 miles on my 2023 Tundra Limited TRD 8 months old. I have only a few longer trips. Mostly driving locally. It has averaged 20.1 MPG over those miles.
    I love it.

Congrats. Ignore the haters that will come on tell anyone who can listen that the 3rd gen is doomed. Same dudes, over and over . Love my 22!

I had to drive 6 hours to pick it up, at hour 4 filling up the gas sucking 5.7 I said to my self " christ 2 more hours to go " ......got in the 3rd gen with a plan to drive and hour towards home and overnight.........drove straight thru. Home in bed by 11:00 PM

Nicest pickup yet in my life.

Are you saying you had to have a new engine at 4800 miles? Your subject and your message are a little cryptic.

New engines on these 3rd gen models might only reveal their true reliability after accumulating 100-200K miles. While we can speculate, objective data reigns supreme. There have been reports of early engine failures starting in 2022, but did previous generations face similar issues? Without comparative data between 2nd and 3rd gen, it's difficult to make an unbiased assessment, even though I might lean towards skepticism, yes I am a "hater". All I can offer is best wishes for your engine, as it's a significant investment. With Toyota's reputation, I'm confident they'll stand behind their product. However, for added peace of mind, I strongly recommend considering an extended warranty from Jerry

I have 42k on mine, the engine is a marvel. Sure does a lot better running 91. Towed our camp trailer against a Wyoming wind (if you know you know) at 75mph and it just didn’t care. Let’s not talk about the mileage during that trip lolololololololol

Welcome to the boards & also from MA.
Mine is a 23 started @ 0 and now with 16K only issues was the evap line recall and the other one the radio knob.
Seaking of knobs, don't mind the haters here trolling on the 3rd Gens page, but hey their trucks may make it to 1,000,000 miles which is great bragging rights but don't mind the out dated EVERYTHING the exterior w/ a million band aids holding it together.....:deadhorse:

Try to answer the question....maybe try to make an effort to answer the question ........if you can actually give an example, then slag away. All you did is demonstrate you are a key board warrior with zip knowledge. Kinda like a bozo

You're the one acting like a Billy Badass calling me a name for one post I made in this thread stating the obvious.

You're looking quite intelligent in this thread.

And off to the mute list for you. Twice you had a chance to answer the question, twice you didn't even attempt it. Pretty much says it all.

I think OP is just stating that they love the new engine in the 22+ trucks. I too really like mine. Pulls my enclosed trailer so much better than either of my previous Tundras. '14 and '19 both 5.7's. I did like the sound of the old V8 with DD exhaust. But I prefer function over vanity.
