I recently upgraded from a 2016 Tacoma TRD Off Road MT to this new 2024 Tundra Limited with the factory 3" lift and 35" tires. Wow. What a truck. Only had it for a few days, but it's incredible. I don't think I'm going to do anything to it except for a camper shell and the dealer still needs to remove the TRD 4x4 Off Road stickers and dealer badge.

Not sure which camper I want...I need to do some research. Suggestions would be appreciated!

Congrats on your beautiful truck, it looks perfect! I'm about to upgrade from my 2015 Tacoma TRD to a 2024 Tundra Limited with the TRD 3" lift. I'm fine with the 20" OEM wheels that come with the Nightshade package, but want bigger A/T tires. Do you have any rubbing, and if not, did you use spacers? What width are your tires? Thanks!

Beautiful Truck! But no pic of the Taco? I traded my '17 ORDC MT a couple weeks ago for my limited. I just found a Leer on Marketplace for $1,200. I thought buying one new at a quote of $3,800 was ridiculous.

I have a two month old Platinum with the factory lift and same size tires you have. I even had the KO2's. When I experienced the rub at full lock, I took it back to the dealer and they said the squared edges of the KO2's is what they thought was making it rub (they usually use Nitto Recon Grapplers, more rounded). Accessoriy guy said they would take the KO2's from me and give me new Falken Wildpeak AT4W's. Three peak snow rating was key to me, so I accepted the trade, one for one. Still rubbed as I pulled out of the dealer with the new tires. Pretty bummed about it, so I went home and researched forums here and decided to order new wheels with a +18 offset, and just like that, no more rub (had to remove the mudflaps and pin back wheel liner as well). Spacers are not the way to go on a truck this nice. I like the new wheels better than the OEM too.

Not to be a dick, but "spacers are not the way to go on a truck this nice" doesn't match up with adding wide tires, removing the mud flaps and throwing rocks and shit all along your truck. If you had a good film protecting the entire truck maybe it would be a wash? ( I agree it IS a nice truck, just I am big on having mud flaps if you stick your tires out, for yourself and for the other cars.)

The lift is the factory 3" lift, not dealer installed, and the dealer added the Nitto Ridge Grappler tires, 35x11.50R20LT. I don't have any rub on mine and they don't stick out past the truck.

The gas mileage is shockingly low. Perhaps the engine is just getting broken in, but the mileage I'm seeing is below 13mpg.

Other than the MPG, the truck rides great and I'm very pleased with the setup.

After having it for a week, I've considered what cap or shell I want to add. If I add a shell, I'm restricting what I can fit in the bed and I think I can't use the rearview mirror camera; I'm not a fan of the rearview camera, but I can see the advantages of it from time to time. If I go with a cap, I reduce the overall covered storage, but I can open it up and use most of the bed as intended. Plus, assuming both are purchased new, the cap is significantly less than the shell. Trying to figure out which is a better fit for me.

For those with a camper shell and the rearview camera, does the camper shell actually block the use of the rearview camera and bed camera?

    Nice looking truck. OP

I'm guessing the reason some rub and some don't is if the dealer put the bigger tires on it, they can't let it leave with a known interference. So they might have adjusted the alignment so they don't rub. You can adjust caster to move the tire front to back. And probably tweak toe and camber as well.

If you want those stickers and dealer badge off, just heat them up with a hairdryer for 30 sec or so and they will peel off. Much eaiser when everything is new, and before you have to worry about paint fade.

@Jmmitchell3699 Truck looks frickin awesome! From my research, I think the reason you're not rubbing with stock wheels is the 11.5 width on the tires. Most ppl put 35x12.5 or a metric that's 12" or wider. I have the lift on my plat as well but still on stock tires since I planned on having to get new tires and wheels to prevent any rubbing issues, but now you have me thinking of going with these tires since I actually like the grey plat wheels with my MGM truck.

Regarding a topper, soft tops are not for everyone but I went with a fas-top brand that has both the roll-up tonneau cover and a soft camper shell all in one. I love it and it works great for what I need. I use my bed a lot for dirt bikes and stuff, I use the shell for the dogs/going on trips if needed but mainly just use the tonneau so I can still see and use all the cams but have daily things covered like groceries, hardware store runs, etc. I previously had a softopper brand on my Tacoma but I like the combo of the fas-top better. If you do go with a hard shell there is a camera relocation kit from GG Offroad so you can relocate the cams on the third brake light that still shows the inside of the bed and the digital rearview cam.

depends on a lot of factors. Is it garaged or kept outside? What color is it? Will be more obvious on darker colors. Has the paint been taken care of?
When i debadged my truck was 2yrs old, Cement, never garaged and I had no paint fade issues. The vinyl did have tendency come off in torn pieces which was annoying. You could always start with a piece that can be replaced easily like a small badge. Then you could always just put it back on if needed.

@Hoody is correct, Magnestic Gray. Also, my tires that rubbed are 11.5". I can't understand why some rub and some don't either.

Did you have to put fender flares on for the tires not to stick out? I have a 3” lift with tires that stick out now, but getting new ones. I want them flush with the truck, with no rub, and no spacers. Hoping the 35x11.50R20LT will for mine the same way they fit yours.

He said it's the factory lift. That means it was built like that.
