Got in the Tundra leaving work this evening and realized I’d landed on 76,000 miles. Love this truck more every day!

How does a person actually access their fusebox with that much stuff there? Like 45 mins to get into the fusebox to check that fuse...

    You didn’t; just don’t blow a fuse :D
But, yup, you’re correct. Took better part of an hour to get it all undone. Here’s what it’s looking like now
    IMG_8571.jpg
    IMG_8567.jpg IMG_8568.jpg IMG_8569.jpg
Let me tell you what melba toast is packing here:
    • Switch pro wires to bus bar have connector to disconnect on switch pro control module
    • Wires off bus bar out to accessories are all on spade connectors. Eight 1/4 turns of a screwdriver and they all pull out.
    • Wires coming out of safety hub (as well as ARB compressor leads) will need to be unbolted. Have Andersons for them but elected not to use them at this time.
    • All grounds now stay on outskirts of engine bay. Previously had a ground bus on the tray over the fuse panel.
    • Winch Albright was moved over to pass side. 3 leads going to winch are on andersons. Power feed is not. 350a andersons are like 9” long.
    • Posi-tapped in the wireless controller. Not great but hasn’t been an issue yet

All in all; not great but quite a bit better than it was. Looking at like 10mins now to get at the fuse box and 3mins to completely remove the winch solenoid/platform

Yup, don’t have to worry about that until Wednesday when I’ll hopefully get cleared to drive again. 3 months in the making!

Busy morning. I changed the front/rear diff fluid, transfer case, and did a drain and fill on the transmission. I’m good for another two years.

I also removed the diff drop that the previous owner installed.

Thanks! I've been playing with a bunch of different colors for these trim pieces(I have a spare set). The color in that picture is Oil Rubbed Bronze by Rust-oleum...
    20240607_135932.jpg
In enough lighting it really does give off a bronze look and my interior is black so I'm switching it up to a hammered black so it has a bit of black textured look to it now. I think it will look better once I have them installed in the truck.

Currently I have a semi gloss black but I kinda messed up a little on that one with a bit of excess spray so it ran down and my OCD triggers everytime I see it.

    Edit:
Here's a lil peek at how it's coming out. Lookin more gray than black but I'm liking it..

I have a plate over my fuse box and have the plate on a hinge at the fender side. I wired everything up for a ‘service loop’ long enough to flip the panel up to access the fuse panel. Works pretty smooth so far

Picked up a can of Toyota 6v7 and a can of 2k clear from an automotive paint shop today. They made a mess of the first can of 6v7, so they redid it and gave me the first one free.

I’ll start applying coats to my Boost Auto mirror caps tomorrow.

What are we looking at? Did someone yank the window out to gain access?

Yep, best I can tell is they used a tool to try to punch a hole in the window. The window shattered as designed. The tint held it together so they just ripped it out.

You don’t want to blow your Achilles; trust me! Nothing to be proud about

That said; it’s far from the worst thing that can happen to you, but it sure isn’t fun.

And it happened playing basketball. I’m a hockey player by nature but was asked to play on the company basketball team. I haven’t consistently worked out in about 10 years, so when you go out on the court and try to be a hero.. bad things can happen.

I tell me wife that I’m just joining the elite athlete club: Aaron Rodger’s, Ricky Williams (twice), Kobe, Kevin Durant and others hahah

Finally, a 'real' alignment, which gave me 3* of caster, +0.2 camber, and 0.23 total toe, resulted is major rub on my passenger side. In just a few days of backing out the driveway and parking spaces, this was the result:

Replaced the 'push-button' clips with more substantial clips. Replacements are the same ones that hold our grills at the top; open the hood and there's three screws and two clips. I had to blooming onion shave them down a little so they'd fit.

I'm just getting started w/ GMRS after buying my first HT and now thinking a mobile rig for the truck is in my future. I like the overhead mount idea but my first thought was banging my head into the front corner of the radio ... but maybe that was just my experience with my Wrangler
