Any insight into the 2012 5.7 ? I have a 12 Tacoma and am familiar with the SAIS garbage but anything else with that year? Did a brief search but found a clean local one for sale at a good price with low mileage and stellar service records Yeah- not my favorite front end but everything 2018 and up with lower mileage is 40-50,000 with high interest rates.

figure it is a relatively safe investment to let Toyota figure out the newer ones and one day jump on the crew max long Bed.

    appreciate everyone here

What's the asking price? I owned an 07 and a 14 with the 5.7L. Quite decent and reliable. The SAIS and cam tower leak now seems inconsequential in light of things with the TT6 horror show going on. I say go for it. CO owned so no frame rust issues. Do it!

23,700 is what I talked him down to with 80,000, near break even with my Tacoma but I am selling it to my brother so I didn’t go For max sale potential

I second @Black Wolf. Colorado is a natural healthy habitat for Tundras, they're meant to be here

Yeah I cross reference on auto trader. Only 5 other in the country that competed and they were all 600 or 1300 miles away

2012 here. Get LED headlights and the TRD pro grill insert if you want to change the looks and function of the front end.

Dude first thing on my list- you should post a picture of your truck- that’s the only deterrent- the 12 front end but that’s chump change comparatively

@OutgrownTacoma I think that is a good deal for a 12' with 80,000 in CO. I say get it while you can.

Anyone tune your trucks with OTT or equivalent? Big difference in my tacoma, haven't looked through here too much to see if it matters as much for the V8

    there's 3-4 recent threads on here. @JustDSM

i plan to do mine after the bigger tires. would be nice to have a little more low end power and keep the converter locked a bit more. i spend the majority of my drive time heading up over the passes

Looks like it needs some maintenance and a good waxing. Seat covers and floor mats would round it out nicely. I think I saw it parked of I70 west bound just before Horizon. Sweet deal! Pretty sure the owner is willing to reach across the aisle to make you a deal.

Well looks like if everything goes as planned that I may be a Colorado resident in mid September. The folks we bought the property from have a home next to us that they are selling for 1.3 mil or some shit like that and we came to an agreement on renting their home while ours is being built. I will be right there the entire time. Praying this all works out for us. A shit load of work ahead but all for the greater good!
