I miss the Jazz HD radio station 96.5 HD2 The wave.

They played a nice mix of calmer music.

    now, I do Pandora.

I tried the "new rock" station on pandora - hoping this new generation can play it like we did.

nope. buncha shouting and double bass drum crap.

you can tell machines are taking over music.

I like Lonestar 92.5 out of Dallas, and other radio stations across the nation off iHeart Radio, there used to be or I can't find, they play awesome rock but it's out from Mexico across from El Paso

I will now belabor this topic.

We went to Franklin's BBQ in Austin recently. supposedly the best.

    Montgomery Bar-A BBQ was better.

Franklins side orders are from a bucket. Montgomery is homemade. all of them.

the Honey Butter Cornbread is devine. absolute perfection in the execution of sweet cornbread.

    brisket was outstanding. perfect crust.

    pulled pork was perfect.

all of the meats have a rub that has a tad bit of heat, perfect level of heat, not hot, but tasty. Cayenne maybe? it was just perfect.

get there early - like 10:30am it gets packed. it's a small place.

the beer is free (while it lasts). yes free. (Miller Lite)

I enjoy good BBQ. I also enjoy supporting local shops. The customer service was outstanding.

and I got a sticker for the garage sticker wall.

I’ll have to check them out next time I’m out that way. Corkscrew BBQ in Spring is the best I’ve ever had.

They recently got ranked #2 nationally on Yelp’s top 100 bbq list. Of course you never know how legit Yelp’s rankings are though.

    Most folks are destination focused.

I, and my Fam, are restaurant focused.

I like hitting new places to eat.

It makes for good conversation the old fashioned way.

And Corkscrew is right on the way to the lake...we take the Hardy.

Corkscrew is good, make sure you try and get there early as well as they do sell out quick. Parking is rather limited but that's to be expected in a little place like old town spring.

There is gem like 30 minutes from me in Alvin, called Joe BBQ. Very legit and a local hole in wall place.

Sometime I go to Gatlin BBQ which is in Heights area. Killen BBQ in Pearland I think is over rated and extremely expensive. $43/LB brisket?

But for sure in one of my trips to Dallas I will try to stop by Montgomery bar-a-bbq. We also love food and trying new places.

If you are in Houston proper, I highly recommend Truth BBQ, it’s very good. Pinkertons is also very good.

Corkscrew is much closer to where I live though.

We are looking for the following trucks for some test fitting and 3d Scanning who are looking for fuel tank skids.

2022+ Tundra with the OEM fuel tank skid. We are looking for both the 22 and 33 gallons versions.
We have the prototype ready to test fit. Easy way to get a aluminum fuel tank skid on the cheep! :p

2008-2021 Tundra with the OEM fuel tank skids
26 and 33 Gallon tanks. We would need to remove the plastic fuel tank skid. 3d scan the truck and then have you come back for some prototyping. Our prototype lab is near 1960 and Eldridge.

Is that the Truth BBQ outside of Brenham? Little place right off the highway. Shit for parking because it's always full, but they give you free beer while you wait. Best BBQ I've ever had and I've had a LOT of Q.
