Just wanna give it a try n see if having that extra airflow makes any difference n didn't want to cut a hole in my fender. Being in California where this CAI is not CARB approved yet and finding it on OfferUp was somethin I didn't wanna pass up. I know the extra air intake may not make a huge difference with not being S/C but maybe someday i'll get there
I definitely could use something like this on my Taco however!o_O

Water-tight wind-proof cover is in works. No, upside-down idea was considered and demised.

Are you going to swap to the stock box for your smog check and then swap back?

Yeah, unfortunately, i'll most likely have to do that. I do have a guy though that helps me with stuff like that but don't feel I wanna pay the hefty price when the swap is easy enough.

This sticky in the Performance subforum sums up CAI https://www.tundras.com/threads/official-intake-suggestion-thread.236/

Food fir thought. I paid 300.00 for one that now sits on a shelf collecting dust.

Building a bumper for my 21 limited. Has led lights.

Not sure about the led driving lights.

Should I just source something else that is just as good or better?

I can cut these in with ease, but would love suggestions for options that exceed the factory units.

I put some Morimoto fogs in the Sequoia and they're hella bright. I can pretty much 86 the headlights and still see well enough to drive.

Wife and I have been rollin' like this since we were together... it makes life soooo much easier and zero frustration or heartache over making purchases outside of the normal family 'budget' No guilt trips, no keeping score, no feeling like you've gotta ask for permission, etc....

More pics of the build itself may give us better options or scenarios for you to consider in your construction. Not asking you to give away corporate info and design. just a better idea of what we are really considering lighting for. An angled bumper may not end up looking the best with a round light when a square pod is always going to be the answer and vice versa...

The wife and I live on sort of similar terms, as long as i don't touch the joint bills / savings account, she doesnt care what boxes show up and is all "cool, hope they work for you" She had no idea what sliders and skid plates were when they just showed up last month. She didn't care, asked me if I wanted these things, then went about her day.

A rear bumper is next on that personal account, which is why I have not bought that bamboo printer I've been considering. I'm down to go again now as long as you realize I haven't added anything since, except height loss with 330# stuffed under it, but am no less ready to see if I can drive over it. That Taco said he would go again too.

Depends which Decked system(new vs. old) and which stiffeners you have.

I started with this last year.

    Slowly putting back together.

Went back and forth if I wanted to install factory bumper components.

Since I'm a fabricator, the wife said I'd complain about running a factory bumper, so here I am putting one together.

I'm modeling it after an ARB bumper, using features from various designs.

I'm this far presently. Will have more progress pics later today.
