    You're right.
I just remember seeing those dick n balls shaped gaskets on TW. There was a running joke where people were tasked with calling their local auto parts stores and asking the clerk to describe the shape of the gasket. Must've been for the 2rz or 3rz

    That's the unwritten rule.
Shiner, Lone Star, St. Arnold's, and Karbach are some of the finest beers Texas has to offer.
Any non Texas beers need not apply. Job is filled.

if someone pretends to want to drink their light beer when offered a shiner they're suspect & approved for heckling. Only gotta take one, but gotta take one. & dont sip it. chug it, degrade it, and go back to your bud light, you'll be welcomed.

Hey all, I posted this in a thread but just thought I would ask here. Anyone running a 2” lift using 6112 shocks on an Access Cab with SBC upper control arms?

Do you know someone here who has that I can message?

Bilstein says 1” maximum for AC on the 6112 but I know someone here has done it. Finally have them on the way

At first I thought you were degrading Shiner light blonde. I was going to say, SLB goes down pretty nice on a hot, beer drinking kinda summer day. Maybe in the river or pool or the beach.

Anti-rattle spring should be on top, the leading edge, no? Same with the pad with screamer, leading edge, outboard pad.

    upload_2024-7-9_17-0-26.png
FSM showing the screamer goes up, leading edge, outside pad only. Clip goes up, leading edge.

We have a local store that sells Shiner Blonde, one of my favorites. First had it at a bar on the River Walk years back.
Then we drove over to Austin the next morning to eat @ Franklin's

    It was a cool trip

I was doing the same. But when I was trying to figure out my goddamn squealing shit, I pulled the lower out, and was too lazy to reinstall. Yes, I know, it'd only take 2 minutes per side to reinstall. I'm just too damn lazy to get under the truck again, until the next oil change.

Ugh, that @artsr2002 guy again, with his holier-than-though nitpicking!

Had not turned a wrench on the ole girl in a while... it got me out of a little slump and made me feel good.
Up for a challenge apparently. Bell Cranks/Parking brake nonfunctional for Years

    Driver side
    20240709_144611.jpg

Pivots got working pretty easily, no problems.
    20240709_144634.jpg

The NO-SAG reach around cable run... interesting.
    20240709_144640.jpg

Passenger side. Everything on these cranks is frozen up tight AF
    20240709_144712.jpg

Bolts, pretty sure these were 13mm to start, a solid 12mm now
    20240709_152048.jpg

Drivers was about as expected. Looks like aluminum in there. A ton of white powder under the boot. sniff sniff
    20240709_153010.jpg

Got the Passengers side to come free, bonus!
    20240709_160127.jpg

Tucked away the cables while I test my patients extracting the broken bolts, and freeing up the arms on the bell cranks.
    20240709_165443.jpg

    20240709_171915.jpg

Did the manual adjustments while I was there. (wheels up/neutral/make them drag a bit) Learned how to reach around and install the grommets by feel with the wheels on... forgot to put them back beforehand.
Last October when I did the brakes for the first time in the rear/and adjusted the rears like this it took at least 2in of down travel off my brake pedal!
    20240709_161627.jpg

Thinking about stripping the boots off and soaking them in vinegar, maybe ATF... for a few days. Taking advice and recommendations
Could be a lost cause, but I have patients.
Anyone used the set of bell cranks from Rockauto? Curious of fitment/quality.
Ill post my progress on these crusty little barnacles though.

    NICE! haha

Installing lift kit soon, SPC UCA, OEM LBJs/bolts, 6112's, smx-122270T, and new LCA bushings. Do I need to get all new Cam assembly for Toe Adjustments? I don't think anything is wrong with the current ones but is there any reason I should replace them after 20 years?

If you can put the parts in a tub, either oxalic acid mixture (get the granules to dissolve at hardware store) or Evaporust.

If the parts are installed and rusted in-place, slather on Naval Jelly from Loctite, rinse after 30 mins. Repeat a few times. It'll eat the rust out.

You say that, and you're not wrong but I torqued the weld off the first go around. Had to get the 5 pound mini Thor to break it loose. Motherfucker was on there. Aaron and his fucking impact gun.

Added a little anti seize to all 6 so when I go to put the new ones in Saturday after work I won't have an issue.
