They have good contact on the tread patch? I normally have to run pretty low air pressure to get anything E load to pass the chalk test. I think 30-32psi might ride a lot better.

Good contact on tread, chalk tested. I think they’re just stiff-as-shit tires. The amount of rubber on these things is significant.

Run em for a while at 80 psi, then 35psi will feel soft.

I’m running about the same psi as you currently, but I’ve had to run as low as 28psi to pass the chalk test (not on this truck). I don’t feel comfortable driving that low on the street every day so I usually wind up at 30-32 for anything E load.

I wish. Really just selling the big camper to get one a little more sporty so well actually take it on trips. The behemoth camper we had is just too big to hook up and go somewhere more than a couple hours away. And it’s not camping. It’s like moving. We’re buying another camper this week or next. Already have it picked out. Only weighs 4200#. 8 feet shorter. Selling the new Tundra cause I don’t need 2 trucks and honestly just don’t care to have the bigger one or the payment when the FGT that I enjoy more and will never sell can pull daily duty and the new camper just fine.

I'm on load-e and run about 33psi for full contact on the chalk test. But use around 36psi for daily driving.

I've never done a chalk test, but I've always ran 40 PSI on the street with E-Rated tires over the last 10 years.

Try the chalk test. The place that mounted my tires had them at 40psi and when I went to do the chalk test I was basically running on a 4" strip of rubber. It wasn't till the low 30's did I notice a decent contact patch

Your truck has weight on the back. 40psi is harsh on the titan, and it has 18's.

the titans michelins survived several 100psi runs (not e-rated) between houston & memphis. 700miles overnight @ 25-26mpg. Those tires lasted 100k & when the center tread went smooth, i had to pull the abs fuse to get it to behave while hydroplaning.

Yeah, I'm sure my chalk test might be a little higher than Ninja's due to my weight. I'm just bullheaded on 40 PSI because it has consistently provided me with the best ride.

    I'm on 38f/36r, in the winter it's 40/38.

the titan is 42/38. And still gets 19mpg.

I've never done it either. I'm not even sure what it is. But I read the words "chalk test" somewhat often.
    I've always ran 35psi. I tried 40 and don't notice any difference.

Curious what you or others run off-road. I always go with 16psi, except for the one time I got frisky and ran 12psi. It was really muddy and I still had stock gears/LSD.

yea, but stinkbug jim has that energy. Potholes would probably be quieter if you drop the rear 2-4psi.

Get some sidewalk chalk and color the blocks. Like a 1ftx 1ft area. Drive down a straight line like 50ft get out and see where the chalk has worn off. More worn in the middle is over inflated. More worn on the outta lugs is not inflated enough.

i actually got a whole box of chalk still so lmk if you wanna use it lol
