I watched that this afternoon, really surprised to see the hitch wasn't more reinforced

Considering how much he abused the truck, all the rest of the damage was expected

Tesla insurance is cool that you can lower your premium, but I have to drive like a lil bitch.

Costco Connect almost doubled my premium new renewal was $258 a month. Tesla is at $146 a month. Good behavior has me in the $130’s

I joined the club, got a new used 2021 model y long range awd with fsd from Tesla. Great daily driver commuter car so far!

 

Wonder if they'll offer a .99 like the Model Y a couple months ago. That would make it super appealing.

I've heard this was coming. IMO it's the best solution for an EV pickup, and a hybrid system that actually appeals.

 

I like the idea and at first thought it seems like the best of both worlds.

But.. that's also the problem. Some people are already nervous about the replacement costs of electric motors and batteries, throw in a gas engine with maintenance and that's a complicated system with a lot to go wrong.

If only we could let gas and electric vehicles live or die depending on the free-market

 

The nervous people wouldn't buy a regular hybrid then, and this is less complex than current hybrid models that have run fine for over a decade. If a truck is going to be a hybrid, this is the way.

 

I see what you're saying but there is less risk with a regular hybrid though, you can still drive it if the battery fails.

I do like that there's no transmissions/driveline running gear to fail

A hybrid will drive if the battery shits the bed, but only if you've already got it running. If it dies in the middle of the night it won't start come morning.


No thank you. I just got back into a V8. I'm tired of buying cars. I hate payments. I have anxiety about the debt with the economy doing what it's doing. I'm good. I'll just go hide in my hole like a good troglodyte.
