Wondering if anyone with a ‘22+ non-hybrid and a Start-X remote starter with ASCL6 installed can let me know if remote door lock and unlock work through the app? I have a ‘23 non-hybrid Platinum. The OEM Fob 3x lock start and stop work, as do normal Fob door lock/unlock functions.

The app remote start and stop functions work, but when I try to lock the doors using the app, the mirrors start to fold in, as though the lock function is going to work, but then the mirrors nearly immediately swing back out and the doors do not lock. But, the app reports locked, and if I open a door, the alarm goes off. Voxx confirms that they can see the ASCL6 sending all commands properly.

For whatever it might be worth, there’s a customer review on Amazon that says the app door lock/unlock didn’t work until Fortin customer service sent him another cable/wire to make it function. However, when I contacted Fortin and explained the above, customer service advised, after confirming that I had programmed everything correctly, that the Start-X doesn’t support door lock/unlock.

The Start-X appears to be an Evo One (that’s what it shows up as in the Flash Link updater software), but maybe it’s a “lite” version that doesn’t have full features?

    Feedback greatly appreciated!

I got this all sorted on 2023 Tundra, Locks, start and tailgate open with carlink app now. If anyone interest I can post instructions. My main recomendation is DO NOT BUY THE STARTX! Its a fortin evo one with xstart firmware and a t-harness, the startx firmware was causing all the problems with locks and errors. I ultimatly had to wipe the xstart firmware off completely it and install the fortin firmware.

I'll be glad to post details if needed.

This is everything you need including the flashlink https://www.ebay.com/itm/116235462279

    No Problem.
You will need to create a free Fortin.ca account to program

Take your Startx to the truck and factory reset the bypass portion see link.
    https://cdn.fortin.ca/en/download/61931/61931.pdf
    1. Hold down programming button while plugging in power connector.
    2. Let go of button when LED is RED.
    3. Push and hold button again until all three LEDs start to alternate.
    4. Disconnect unit, she is now reset.

Plug startx into flashlink and make sure its set to your year, make and model if its not already.(startx had mine as a 2023 corolla)
Once that is done enable options C1 and D6 then save options. Do not change or alter any other options at this point.

DO NOT USE STARTX INSTRUCTIONS TO GET THE UNIT IN DCRYPTOR MODE! USE THE FORTIN MANUAL LINK IN THE NEXT STEP
Next run through the invehicle programming along with dcryptor again (pages 5-7): https://fortin.ca/download/107631/EVO-ONE_IG_THR_BI_TOY16--TUNDRA-PTS_2022_A_107631.pdf

At this point you will have the startx/EVO ONE done and 3x lock start working
The next part is for the app

DO NOT USE VOXX INSTRUCTIONS> USE INSTRUCTIONS IN LINK BELOW
    To program your carlink
make sure to follow their instructions on how to connect it to the EVO-ALL or EVO-ONE using their own HRN-LLRS-01 harness

Here is a copy of their guide. Please read attentively every step of programming since there is setup in the app you must first do.Page 8-9 https://fortin.ca/download/64631/ascl6-install-guide-64631.pdf

To add tailgate pop in app click gear cog in top right, select aux 1, select TrunkRelease.

if you want 30 min run time set your truck in the flashloader as a diesel with 0 wait to start time. This is set in flashloader in the remotestart section

Thank you for the detailed information Bryan. I just accepted that I wouldn’t be able to lock doors. If I manage to get this to work I’ll have to send you some Venmo for a beer.

No problem, Looks like alot but will take 10 min at most.
The service is through CARLINK and the 1st year is included then $39.99 a year. I couldnt find anything even close to that with unlimited car tracking included.

@High_Tech_bryan I have a 2013 Tundra, what are you using for tailgate pop open? Also, what parts you recommend I get for remote start if not Start-X and Carlink has a new version CL7 is this better than the Fortin mobile app?
