    Hey all,

I begrudgingly traded in my 2021 Tacoma Pro (kids, practicality, blah, blah, blah) for a 2023 celestial silver metallic 1794. It's a good-looking truck, but I miss having 0% chrome on my truck. Nothing against chrome, it's just not my favorite. I digress.

I want to get rid of the chrome, but I don't want to spend a bunch of money all at once if that's not necessary. That being said, what do you think would be a few reasonable first mods that won't have my truck looking wonky/unfinished/uneven? I was considering the window trim and handles, but could be swayed or do more within reason.

    Thanks for your input!

If the TRD pro front skid plate even is the best route to go, it's no longer a valid part number. Are people finding this is the best combination of quality and price, or are there other avenues?

I found that the Yota Garage has those chrome delete parts at a reasonable price. OEM price. I am taking it slow. I ordered the Black Gloss Tailgate handle and the OEM blackout for the Limited, 4x4, and Tundra emblems on my 24 Limited. Next go around will be the chrome deletes for the bumper, window trim, and door handles. I hope I don't look like as ass right now with some things chrome, and some not. LOL! Everything in moderation. Hell those door handles and window trim can be a little steep in price. The chrome delete for the rear bumper is not bad on the price at all. But I do like the YotaGarage

A lot less, I went with Toyota parts custom painted to match my truck for the grille, front bumper pieces and rear bumper pieces and Toyota color matched door handles and gloss black trim plus the Toyota Heritage grill, the parts that required painting account for a lot of the total cost. IIRC, the cost of all of the parts came to around $2900. Almost all of my parts were purchased through Sparks Toyota Parts.

Looking at it now, I would probably go with PaintedOEMParts for the painted parts.

Man, I have the celestial silver metallic, so they don’t have that color . Such a better deal that way! I’m sure your truck looks great. Plus, we all look like asses to non-truck/car people for spending all this money. Rationale for gloss black vs matte?

Thanks Bro. The black gloss is not my favorite. The only reason I am went with gloss was on YotaGarage they only had the window trim and door handles in gloss. If not I would have gone with the matte. I could look elsewhere, but I already installed the gloss tailgate. Also, the Limited has the damn ugly grey beard on the front. I have two options paint, or go with gloss replacements. Hell, I guess I am trying to coordinate. I personally like matte on a truck. You don't have these Limited problems on the 1794. That baby only needs a little bit of work. Hope it works out for you. We can post pictures once we get these rigs done up.

Where are you located? I have a black TRD Off Road Grill, with the black piece that goes under that says "TUNDA". It was removed from my new 2023.

Beaverton, OR. Shoot, I’d pay shipping and whatever for that bit if it’s cheaper than the overlay or OEM.
