Cell phone mount?

Stays very secure. However if you have a large phone with a "Otter" protective case it may not open wide enough to accept it without a little persuasion.

 

Doesnt rub at all, there is a 3m adhesive strip that connects to the silver. also the mount is contoured to sit perfectly into place.

I just installed my Hondo Garage unholey with a RAM Xgrip set up. It’s solid and works great. Only issue for me is I have a column shifter that sometimes gets in the way if I put the truck in park.

I’ll have to play with it to see if I can adjust it to stay clear of the shifter.

 

Just play with how it's set, I have the coulumn shifter as well and I was able to get mine to clear when in park.

Thanks - looks like that set up could block the HU screen? I was trying to avoid that. I’ve got it adjusted better to minimize the interference with the shifter. It’s a solid mount - works great.

 

I'm excited to see how that looks.

Yes, you can, but only up and down, not side to side.

 

I have a ram mount suction cup setup right now but the blocking of the eyeline is kind of annoying to me vs. when I used that setup in my 4Runner. The hondo garage thing looks promising so think i'll give it a shot.

Just wanted to add for the actual holder I love these: http://www.slipgripcarmounts.com/ i use them for my motorcycle as I've seen to many of the ram mount holders cause phones to go bye bye. It's made specific to your phone and case so you can just pop it in and out really quick without having to deal with the squeezing bars or release buttons etc. Also holds at the corners and doesn't block access to buttons

Sorry I know this is an old thread. Have you tried or do you know if this mount can be mounted on the lower part of the vent vs the upper portion that most seem to go with?

 

It can be mounted on any section of the vent.

PERSONALLY


IMHO . . . . . . I dislike VENT mounts. window mounts. any mount that BLOCKS or impedes a vent flow. I dislike a ram mount ' X ' type . I also hate wasting a cup hole hole to mount a phone.

I'm looking for a mount that possibly mounts off the right side of the radio w/ a strong magnet to phone

I think my set up is the best, but TEHO.

ProClip mount with Klockwerks magnet. Does not block vent or field of view and it is about as high up as you can get before it does. Super strong and will easily hold my tablet if needed. Can be removed quickly with no damage to dash and can be adjusted so passenger can see screen.

Biggest downsides are cost and you have to stick a metal disk the phone case.

 

OffRoam - been using this one for the last couple years and it stays where you put it.

 

Phone holder on the dash. I used to have a different ram mount (the one with 4 prongs and looks like an X) but swapped to this one. One hand operation now!

 

Unfortunate when others show what some are doing OR could very well WORK for the viewer.....

I'm goin to fabricate a metal strap ....... that sits on the right side of the radio / lower section - facing the driver.

it will be held to the truck via the m10 radio screw.

That would make it too easy, wouldn’t it. Ram mount I’m currently using purchased from Amazon.
