Anyone have an updated 2nd key fob delivery doc?

I have this Current Phase Timing and Vehicle Eligibility doc (updated 06/13/2024). My Platinum Hybrid has a 1/24 build date. I JUST WANT MY 2ND KEY! Does anyone have a newer version of this document?

My build date is 02/24. Still waiting on my 2nd fob as well.

Update - I just got the notification this morning! 1/24 build date, bought the truck 2/24 so it's been about 7 months.

I called my dealer and they had me make an appointment 1 week from today, so next Friday I'll finally have it!

 

Same! 1/24 build, bought on 1/27/24. Notice came today.

 

I have a January 2024 build, bought on 04-May-2024. I picked up my 2nd fob yesterday on 27-Aug-2024.

 

Still waiting as well. 02/24 build. Hopefully, it won't be much longer if the January builds are getting them now.

 

I was told by dealer in SLC that the wait was about 8 months. You guys seem to be just ahead of that estimate. Hope that continues.

 

Got it this morning, took about 30 min.

 

So my 5/24 build date will be next year, lol.

1/24 build and I have heard/seen nothing on the second key.

 

Go to www.toyota.com/recall and enter your VIN. That's how I first found out about my key. I was checking it every morning like a psycho.

I actually never received a letter. I did see it in the app but I didn't get a notification or anything. I just looked and saw I had a new "service campaign."

 

What is this 2nd key fob thing all about? I pick up my 2024 Tundra this weekend and I just assumed (Like with all cars and trucks) I would get 2 key fobs. Is this not the case? (The truck has an August build date)

 

LOL, time to do some reading. I just picked my 2nd key up today as a matter of fact.....only took 9 months.

 

Basically due to a chip shortage you will only get one key and you'll have to wait 6+ months to ket your second key.

 

Just spoke with Toyota brand engagement and they said that the second key for my truck got pushed back to October. It was August previously.

 

Build date of 3/24, purchased in April, and still waiting. Toyota Brand Engagement originally told me August and now they don't seem to know.

I'm curious what Toyota will do if in the meantime I actually lose the only fob I have

 

I wonder if we would be able to get a key card as the second key. I had one on a previous lexus and it was super convenient.

Today (Aug 6th) I picked up my Tundra Platinum Hybrid TRD. And they handed me 2 key fobs. They said all new Tundra are going out with 2 key fobs

 

I keep dropping mine and knowing my luck I’ll break it. In the past I never had a use for the second fob but now I don’t have one I’ll need it lol

 

Yes, you can buy the one for the Tacoma they work on our Tundra, got mine brand new off of eBay pd $135, but they $280 on eBay. Check your dealer, Part number 8990H-A1010
