Has anyone here bought this package from Toyota on their custom order? Apparently this can’t be bought from the dealer and installed at this time but potentially at a later date will be offered as a dealer add-on. It consists of dropping resonator and installing cat-back exhaust plus dual air filters and the computer tuned for an additional 32 HP on the non-hybrid. Costs about $3400. I asked my dealer to install the package on my new 2024 Tundra and was told they can install all the parts but cannot do the tune. I took a hard pass. This package also requires using premium after tune.

Is it "on hold" (maybe) due to the engine related issues/recall on other model years?

It’s possible. The documentation I have says it’s available for all 2024 Tundras hybrid and non-hybrid but when you go to Toyota and build a custom build the option shows up on the TRD Pro so it must be somewhat available lol. 3200 seems like a high premium price for only 32HP but it’s covered under Toyotas 3 year warranty in case you blow up your engine lol

It was supposed to be out late last year avail on the new ‘24 models. The engine debacle was in full swing at that time and I was told it was shelved. I’d imagine the last thing they wanted to do then was squeeze more power out of a questionable design or manufacturing process.

32hp and same torque earlier at 2000rpm and Premium fuel required forever more.

The premium fuel doesn’t bother me too much. I traded in a BMW on this Tundra that required 91 and this Tundra gets about the same gas mileage

Thanks for all the great input. I started looking at buying a 2024 Tacoma hybrid but because of the lack of tacomas available in this area, I decided the non-hybrid Tundra would be a better choice for me. And there is a hell of a lot more room in the crew cab backseats compared to Tacoma and I’m happy with the power of the Tundra

Like everything else Toyota once its dealer available you might be able to get a good discount.
    I would be interested then.

Well. The 32 HP includes the “tune”. Everybody knows these type of motors respond well to a tune. But the dealership can’t do the tune. So it’s literally all the cost for just an exhaust and a new air filter, with maybe a 10 hp pickup

Why not just get a Stillen Tru-Control for $700 and you can set it where you want...0 map is stock run 87 do what you want...map 7 gains 80 whp on 93. Drop in TRD filters $100. If you want a little more then add exhaust...and get a naturally louder exhaust when your on it. 2 connections plug and play. Your best bang for the buck is simply a piggyback tune period. Also very stealthy as no increase in noise other than tires squealing ha.

I'll just wait for the warranty to expire then get the OTT for the Tundra. That tune was awesome in my Tacoma

Long story, but he had to leave due to Toyota serving legal papers to Tundras.com for all the stuff he was posting. Something along those lines anyway. Someone please correct me if I am off here.

He was banned...twice...for posting copyright protected information. Toyota sent cease and desist orders to Ryan and the owners of this site both times. The second time it happened, Ryan was banned for good. I hated to see him go, but I understand the reason for it.

Someone on FB is saying the performance package has been available as an update since July in the phonix area, can anyone confirm? Seems like BS to me, haven't seen it pop up anywhere is except as a factory installed option.

Ed Martin Toyota put up a video of the exhaust on youtube, it's like $1800. Haven't seen any part numbers for the intakes.

I’m taking it’s a totally different exhaust than the TRD pros have?

Does seem like a drone'r, i'd like to see some feedback on it before I pull the trigger. It would be nice to have a TRD exhaust vs. aftermarket.
