I'm too busy enjoying Tru-Control Map 7 to worry about this any more...Stillen isn't going anywhere and will develop a fix for us ASAP. We are only a fraction of their market but still an important one...

It sucks this is happening. If your local to SoCal, you can always stop by in person. They're in Costa Mesa. Maybe they'll give you the replacement parts that they're hopefully already producing by now plus some swag to make up for the troubles. If there's not a Stillen Yeti tumbler included, have em cut you a check for a full refund. ;)

After being alive for so long and reading hundreds of threads on aftermarket intakes over the years for every vehicle I have owned I can only conclude that they are all pretty much just stillen your $.

what’s the answer here. Understanding things need to be re-done to address multiple items (hoses, clamps, lids) but what’s the logistics here? Are you wanting us to send back the old stuff, trash it, hang in the garage, keep everything, keep nothing and start over?

I've been holding back since the very beginning of this thread, bc I was very interested in learning something new on their design on intakes.
I like the idea of the actual filter being in an enclosure to prevent ambient taxing, dust and water intrusion.
I have always used K&N and want to compare the two, well their has to be running to compare it to but that's out the window...For now, like I had mentioned August 10th / #47 this may have been released prematurely.

Anyway couldn't be happier with the continued reputation of K&N.

    Just saying.

The truth is, there is virtually zero benefit from running aftermarket intake systems on forced induction engines. But, this has been discussed ad nauseam. As mentioned several times, return that shit before you are unable to and left holding the bag. Why are you being so patient may I ask? Do you just want it to work out that badly? If you must have an intake, get a proven K&N or S&B and know that you won't be their guinea pig.

    Not sure at this point.
Man, luckily 2.5gen aren’t dealing with this manufacturing issue. I just got the 2.5 gen CAI. Haven’t had a chance to install it yet.

as LA stated there is minimal gains to be made in our boosted application but I would add "without supporting mods"...all engines IC type are air pumps...a CAI can help a naturally aspirated engine if there is a significant restriction in flow stock and there is not a big restriction in the exhaust...together they might add 10-20 rwhp without a tune and maybe another 10-20 with a great tune. On our boosted application without a tune the factory dual intake setup is pretty good...I saw a consistent 5 hundredths to a tenth of a second reduction in 0-60 times with drop in TRD filters vs. stock paper ones otherwise stock. Same with exhaust on our trucks...basically a noise maker without a tune. Once you have a tune and are moving more air, then these mods might provide additional gains by freeing up airflow and reducing intake temps. that said I'm sitting on my intakes but will be installing the Stillen exhaust soon and testing. $900 for exhaust and $600 for intakes is $1500 parts cost plus wrenching. $700 for a piggyback minimal wrenching and immediate power gains that can both be felt and measured...plus easily removed for any dealer visits.

I would like to know how we will receive information/instructions on this…

will I get an email as an outreach from my order? Will I get a PM here on the forum? Do I have to watch the forum for a reply?

For people not on this forum who purchased are they SOL?

I’m upset and don’t even own the Stillen CAI.

    I get it mistakes happen.

But one, was there not a QC process to verify fitment and two no follow up? No follow up to all the folks who have purchased and not pulling the product off the shelf’s till it’s sorted out does not look good for Stillen….

Just my take on this situation…
Still waiting on Stillen, while they be Stillen peoples money…
