But i dont have any expierience with any of this. It'll have some beefy wires to the isolator, and i'll probably run one plug outlet to 3+ outlets (engine bay, front seat, back seat) and try my best not to overload em.

Bypass oil filters have a tiny orifice built into the downstream side of the filter. That orifice is about .015". Not enough to have any effect on oil pressure. Bypass filters filter a small amount of oil constantly and dump the filtered oil into the crankcase which is the exact opposite of what full flow filters accomplish.
In diesel engines they completely eliminate soot.

Cleaning a river with a coffee filter.

j/k i know the benefits. But my truck is hardly working, and i wouldnt hate an excuse for an engine swap.

    Pics, plans, parts?

I need this on the virus. The magnetic drain plug has been getting grittier and grittier with every oil change

I had a corolla xrs bitd. I was not nice to it and still got around 34 mpg. I will say, it sacrifices down low tourqe that the 1zz has for up high hp the 1zz doesn't. But that 8200 redline is pretty fun to hit.

If the drain plug has grit, the full flow filter didn't catch it. Then you wonder how much non-magnetic grit it didn't catch.
I don't have any pics other than the ones I posted. It's pretty simple. The inlet line is plumbed to a tee at the oil sending unit. The outlet line goes back to the oil pan...or the oil filler neck is often easier. Frantz has a kit to puncture the side of the oil pan for the clean oil line, I've done it that way on other vehicles. On my Tundras I just use a bulkhead type fitting on the filler neck.

River flow is measured in cubic feet per second. My Tundra oil pan only holds 2 gallons including both filters. How long does it take 2 gallons of hot oil to flow through a .015 orifice? You guess, but it isn't that long. Sure it's random, unlike a full flow filter, but eventually all the oil is filtered and you are amazed at the results n the dipstick.

I bought mine on ebay used, already had lots of 1/8" NPT fittings, bought the hose from Napa. So I guess they cost about $130 each. You can buy either cellulose or synthetic filter media. I use cellulose because it's rated smaller microns, the synthetic media is 2 micron which is just perfect for trapping soot on diesel engines.

I think many would be surprised that gas mileage can actually improve with modifications. Sounds crazy- but when you modify an engine, you're simply making it more efficient. I'd bet that you could make a bunch of power from a 2ZZ and still get good gas mileage, especially with modern fuel injection and tuning.

My Fiat 124 has a 1.6L engine that's been bored .010", has ~10:1 compression, headers, exhaust, big cams, intake, big carb, you name it. It gets upwards of 26mpg, and I drive it like a racecar. Even on the highway when it's spinning 4000+ RPM, it still gets 23+.

    Wow.

    Mpressive......

My wifes 3.6L V6 in her 5000# SUV gets 26mpg.

    Maybe not the best example

I want to replace my 12v sockets on the dash with USB/USB-C outlets.

Does anyone have a link to some that don't light up super bright, or ones that don't look like cheap plastic shit? I've used these with success before but they light up brightly.
