    How to Blackout Interior Dash Air Vent Panel Frame on 2017 Toyota tundra. All overlay products I have found have a third hole on the driver's side. My 2017 does not have that.

    I believe he is talking about the big trim piece that goes around the head unit and climate control. I'm assuming the 3rd hole is for the 4x4 knob.

    @ScottB1973 am I correct?

    If so this may help some,

    Thanks, but I'm looking for ones with out that hole on the driver's side, yes I'm guessing that is for the 4x4 control that my truck doesn't have. That's all I've been able to find. My next fault was to either paint or get vinyl sheets to go

    You’ll want this part: 55405-0C010-C1. That’s the 2wd center console all-black version.

    I don’t recommend buying from here (do a search for local dealerships, they’ll usually have cheaper prices), but you can view the part here: https://www.sparksparts.com/oem-parts/toyota-center-panel-554050c010c1

    Ahh yeah. :facepalm: I didn't think about that

    OP, I painted mine and love the way it came out. Painted the 3 horizontal trim pieces to match too.

    Yeah basically just hit em with textured spray paint. I'm not a pro but all I did was scuff em down a bit, paint, them wet sand. There's another member that's currently in the process of painting his. He's doing all the proper steps. He posted something in the 2.5 gen thread

    If it's the beer man, something like that, I saw his pics. Looks damn good.
    But are you taking the parts out or are you just taping the other areas off.....

    Taking the parts out. You would not want to be painting inside the vehicle.

    Hey where do you live @ScottB1973 ?

    I have a spare set that I've been experimenting on with different colors. But if you're local to me, I can help ya out.

    I tried plastidip n didn't really like that too much. These are the paints I've mostly been using...
