Hello everyone, I flushed the power steering fluid, and everything went fine, removed the reservoir and cleaned it up good, put everything back on the way it was, bled all air out, went for a test drive, ran smoothly, next day found some PS fluid leaking from the return hose (the small hose), removed it again, cleaned it up and still leaks.
Tried to get a new one from the Dealer, and they say I have to buy the whole assembly ($800) because they do not sell that particular hose by itself; they sell the suction one (thicker hose) but not the one I need. Anyone has any idea where to put my hands on an aftermarket one of great quality?
    thanks in advance.

The return hose is metal line with a couple of molded rubber sections. Unfortunately you can buy separately. When mine did this I bought the Sunsong hose from RockAuto and cannibalized the molded rubber hose from it. My hard lines are in good shape because I’m in the South. If rust is an issue, you may want to replace the entire line. In that case you’ll need a tubing wrench for the fitting at the rack. It was around $50 bucks from the Rock at the time. Here is a link.

Hello bfunke, and thanks for the reply, the line I am talking about and need is the actual rubber hose (return side) section right out from the reservoir down to the metal piece down below, that section of the rubber hose I need is about 12" (it's molded in certain shape) long all the metal sections and other rubber hoses in the whole system are intact, including he "suction" hose which also comes right off the reservoir directly to the pump below, I am in So Cal so rust is not an issue for us at all. That section of the hose is within a couple of inches from the engine block and therefore exposed to quite a bit of heat, so I'm guessing when I disconnected it I must've moved the hose a bit too much and since it's brittle it didn't go back to its original place and never seal correctly again.

I also replaced my lines. I replaced the entire lines, went with the SunSong on Rock Auto, which included both the hard and soft sections.

I see, yeah I'll continue my search and see if I can find just the section of hose I need instead of replacing the rest of the lines, since they are working just fine. If not, I'll have to get the whole OEM from toyota

My solution was a $10 3/8” hydraulic hose with multiple hose clamps. Been working fine for the last few years. Hardest part was lubing it up to go over the fitting of the reservoir. Easy fix for a low pressure line. I couldn’t get away with that on the high pressure side though.

Believe me you won’t find the rubber hose alone. I looked everywhere. This is not a part you need to pay OEM price for.

Thanks much for the input guys, I appreciate it. I've ordered some after market from GeekParts, waiting on them, once received I'll determine if they are trustworthy or not. Comes with the two hoses off the reservoir and a partial metal section. We'll see how it turns out. I'll update here what happens to help someone else in the future.

Wishing you the best. I’m careful using parts sites I don’t know as there’s a lot of cheap counterfeit subpar stuff out there. With Rock auto I know what I’m getting.

bfunke, question for you, does RockAuto have different levels on parts quality they sell? I asked because I bought ONE time from them and it was a great disappointment, it was a sway bar link and frankly it was garbage, I looked at it, couldn't even imagine putting that on my truck and trashed it, went to get the Toyota OEM and boy what huge difference; ever since I've skeptical about buying anything else from them...

Autozone. 3/8" transmission hose. They charge by the foot. It should be around $5 maybe less. Cut to proper length.

that's a low pressure line so you don't need anything crazy. Mine sweats and I'm just too lazy and I don't wanna get ATF everywhere.

I always look at the photos to be sure it looks like OEM. Some brands like Dorman do a good job with Chevy parts but their Toyota stuff sometimes looks cheap or different ie their Tailgate handles are crap.

RockAuto is like any other local store. They sell whatever brands they sell, it's up to the buyer to look at the pics and decide if you'll be satisfied. The price is quite often reflective of the quality/reputation of the brand.

General rule of thumb I follow if it's for a part I'm willing to break from OEM to buy, i.e. they don't carry a brand that's actually what Toyota used for OEM (Aisin, Advics, Denso, Hitachi, Spicer, etc.), if it's not one of those brands and I can save 40% over OEM and there's not a risk or longevity issue, I'll consider stepping down from the premium and buying a good-but-not premium brand like SMP/Standard Motor Products, Dorman, etc.

Hello Everyone, I just wanted to leave this here so that anyone having this issue in the future can find an easy, cost effective and great solution to this problem. After an extensive research I found this set of hoses from Edelmman Brand name, made in Mexico and not in China to my relief. I bought from Parts Geek LLC online, I only paid around $60.00 for it. it arrive on time, had my friend help me hold the metal section from the bottom of the vehicle since it's only held by a clamp on the frame, and I didn't want to break it during installation while applying pressure to slide it on, made the process much easier having that extra hand, it only took about 5 minutes. It fits right on and it also works on my first Gen Tundra. I didn't use the worm clamps they sent me, instead I bought two from Toyota and replace the two old ones. Hope this helps the next victim... :) Sorry I forgot to mentioned, kit comes with two rubber hoses and a metal line, I only needed one of those hoses and not the other two pieces.
