I definitely want to come back and ride this fall. I’ve been using the hydra-force to pop dents out overall it works pretty well. However it will deform the shape of the pipe if I don’t use a ratchet strap to hold the bends. I have a pro circuit pipe that no longer fits because I didn’t know it would do that, another thing to do when I get home I guess. I had a homemade set up that I would use heat with but it didn’t always work and was little scary when the plug would blow off.

The thing i got does the same. First one I did, all the heat warped it so much it didn't fit back on the bike.

I picked up a brand new 2024 Husqvarna TE 300 to replace my 2010 KTM 300 XC today. I'm excited to ride this thing!

Hi everyone. Any of you guys have the trail addition boxes in your bed? I was wondering if you can still put two dirt bikes in there with them.

edit. Found a video and yes two will fit.

Awesome, I'm a fan of the TE300's. If you don't wish to replace your entire silencer with a spark arrested one, I started using these https://spanishflyracing.com/products/ktm-husqvarna-gasgas-tpi-bike-usfs-approved-spark-arrestors the Enduro Engineering caps work as well but you have to clean the screens in them pretty often, I'm finding the TBI bikes run pretty rich from the factory.

Good to know! Wish I had seen this earlier, I already ordered one of the EE ones. We'll see how it works

I did the exact same thing and was able to return the EE before installing it, that's why I figured I would throw it out there.

Picked up a '12 WR450 a couple years ago and I'm finally getting around to enjoying it.

Mototote M3 rack seems pretty solid. It's my first time using a hitch carrier.

Was able to get out on a handful of rides with the 300 since I bought it back in June, what a difference from the 450r lol can’t believe I waited so long to get one. Had to throw on a few extra parts as well

Great looking bike, I bet it is a blast to ride as well. Do I spy some Works Connection parts on there?

30 hours in with my first 2T bike, I couldn't figure out why it was so gutless. I took apart and tested everything. After a lot of frustration, I took apart the silencer and found the clogged filter screen. I later switched to a KTM FMF Turbinecore, which has been a fantastic improvement! That Spanish Fly spark arrestor looks similar in principle to the Turbinecore.

I recently ordered a 2025 300 XC-W Factory Edition which comes with the FMF Titanium Powercore 2.1 - looks cool, but I'm not looking forward to having to clean the screen. Any idea if the Spanish Fly racing would fit? (If not, I can reach out to them) The FMF factory exhausts for KTM/Husky/GasGas look the same, but I've also come to understand there are some bespoke parts to this bike.

The FMF Turbinecore, Pro Circuit 296 and Spanish Fly are all the same principle centrifugal baffle style spark arrestor, I'm not sure if Spanish Fly makes one that fits but I would definitely check with them hopefully they have something that would work. It would be a shame to shelf the Ti powercore, I don't see a Ti Turbinecore that you could swap the dealer for, only the aluminum bodied sparky.

I believe the FMF Powercore 2.1 is a MX silencer so it doesn’t have a spark arrestor screen, the Turbinecore has the spark arrestor.

Well hot damn, I'm glad I asked! I'll hit up Spanish Fly about fitment. It would suck to bench that silencer. Thanks guys!

I got an invite to go riding with a couple friends, but i politely declined. Later in the day i got a phone call to come rescue one of the bikes that got a bit waterlogged. And this is the exact reason why i politely declined riding with newbs in the first place. The ktm 990 is now in my shop getting sorted out. Yes, the white bike went swimming underwater.

What are peoples thoughts on KTM going bust?
I do not wear the orange underwear but it would be a sad day if such a innovative company went under. Really cannot see it happening though, someone will swoop in and sort them out.

I built my truck for carrying my dirt bike to the desert, riding the bike and shredding the truck, and driving back home. It’s fully caged and still fits a bike and all camping gear.

I think they’ll be ok with a restructure. KTM likely won’t go anywhere, but I wouldn’t be surprised if they offload some brands, and redefine their lineup.

Making a 250f in three different colours seems wildly inefficient for such a small company.

My thoughts are I hope the prices come down which they should since they are so flush with inventory. They are good bikes but not worth the gold they are asking for them IMO

I think both the new and used market has gotten ridiculous. In 2016, I bought a 2014 300XC-W with 14 hours on it for $4,200 and in 2017 bought another one (Six Days w/ 40hrs) for only $5K. In 2018, I sold the base 2014 XC-W for $5,100 with ~100 hours on it, and have held onto the Six Days. I now have almost 600 hours on the Six Days.

Over the past year, I have scoured the webz for a low-hour late model 300XC-W, and haven't seen anything that didn't look beat or someone was asking for +$7,500, having removed protection parts and goodies. Maybe I didn't look hard enough, I dunno. I did find one good deal in NJ, but it wasn't worth the risk buying a bike from +1,700 miles away, only to find out it was too good to be true.

Which brings me to current. I recently paid $13,750 for a new 2025 300XC-W Factory Edition (I pick it up next weekend). It's a chunk of change that I wasn't planning on spending, but after I did some math, I reasoned it would be worth buying that particular bike, instead of refreshing my current bike or buying slightly used and upgrading.

To @Warreng's point, a new base model 300 XC-W, is $11,599 MSRP ($~10K with my work perks), then another $4K-5K for all the typical goodies, the bulk of it being new suspension (I do mostly trail and enduro, so properly tuned suspension and bike protection is priority). So, for a little over $2K more than the base model, I was able to get a bike with Cone Valves and a bunch of goodies right out of the box. The forks alone are $3,500-3,800.

I feel like I did alright on this bike; but I think buying a lesser model would have been a bad choice, by way of value.

What I don't understand is how these KTM & Husky bikes are still expensive, even after KTM had moved some manufacturing to China. And are the parts included on a KTM model worth that much more than that of an equivalent GasGas or Husky (brakes, exhaust, swingarms, etc)? Doubt it.
