2024 TRD Performance Package

Exactly. I installed the intakes myself at the dealership but they installed the calibration file. Didn't even hesitate.

 

Why would it give that distinction then?

 

My gut says so the dealership cannot install it prior to sale and mark it up, but I do know for a fact that I had mine done post purchase. Honestly, I have no clue.

Well got it reprogrammed, my build date was 3/15/24.
Luckily I was able to get in touch with someone who use to be on here, we looked into it was able to find the program that was issued in May 24, there is newer one is out, but doesn't include my ECU. Technican at my local Toyota dealer was able to get the May 24 issued program for the ECU, installed program. Throttle response is allot better in my opinion, feel smoother and crisper and by seat the pants feel, seems as advertised by Toyota. If you have Carista, you can get either the Engine ECU PN# or OE Cal ID, which mine was the 896630CS2301, and they programmed it to the Performance Package Cal ID 89663AN14001. Took took the technican about 45 min, was $162.13.
I was able to get the Air Intakes at $596, so I am into it $758.13 this doesn't include the exhaust which I got 2yrs ago from. Keith at Dirty Deeds Industries, have the cat back exhaust system, which was on my previous gen3 tundra.
Some may say its to expensive, your not getting what you would from JB4 or Stillen etc, but for me to still be under Factory warranty was a plus.

 

Would love to see before and after performance timed runs...all you need is a draggy...is 91 or 93 now required Machd08?

I wonder if those with a 22 or 23 getting a new engine under the recall will have an updated ECU that's compatible with the performance calibration.

This is absolutely hilarious. Toyota put out a performance package for an engine that already can’t stay functional with stock parts/programming. You can’t make this stuff up.

the package is only for vehicles made in 2024 which, at present, are NOT in the recall.

TRD Performance Badge and 91 Octane Sticker not available, tried ordering thru 4 sites, took order then they canx’d. if anyone finds them available let us know. Kinda funny Toyota sells the other parts but not these.

I tried the same with multiple sites as well with the same result. Sparks told me the badge is showing discontinued, so not sure what is up with that. I would be interested too if anyone finds a source or more information about it.

Does anyone know if you can use part # PT226-34220-02 for the tail pipe? It looks SO much better

 

that would work, they tail pipe has the same mount all across so any should work

 

So does anyone have an inside scoop on why these CAI kits are on stop sale? Why is it okay for the truck to be shipped with it but not added and reflashed at the dealer? I can actually get my hands on one, and have access to the ECU flash, but I would hate to have it cause damage to my engine and void my warranty….late 24 TRD Sport build
