I believe that’s because of polarized sunglasses. If you wear non polarized sunglasses you wouldn’t see that rainbow effect when looking through the ceramic tint. I keep an older non-polarized pair of sunglasses in the vehicle now for that reason.

I was wondering if anyone has the TRD Cold Air Intake (PTR03-34223) and TRD Exhaust (PTR03-34221 & PTR03-34222) setup on their truck? I heard that a ECU reflash is also required with these parts and adds a good 40 horses...anyone have any experience?

If you install the TRD Performance Intake, it will throw a code if you do not flash the calibration.

    32HP and Premium Fuel Required.

The exhaust can be installed without any calibration needing to be flashed.

Great info getting those part numbers. That sucks about throwing a code if you put the intake on... So you'll need the full "performance package" from the dealer essentially.

Yes. And it would seem that you will need a late 2024 production date. The Calibrations are very specific to certain ECUs.

That would be late into the 2024 production cycle when you consider that the 2025s started getting built September 2nd.

looks good. Have you noticed any rattling, loose parts. Is it straight forward install?
    Thanks

    Wow. Just wow.
I would have liked to be in the room when they pitched that one:
"OK guys, we're going to start with an already structurally compromised grille, cut large portions of it away, and then hang our heavy-ass lights from the remains. Sound good?"
What could possibly go wrong?

For more extreme off-road use, given the size of the grille and risk of vibration, it is recommended to use a Stay Bar Kit to provide additional support and stability for your light installation.

I bought the swing case from NAPA online, they had a 10 or 15% coupon if you ordered online. I have one for each side and they’re great, easy to install too.

Little story about these metal valve stem caps. Had them on my 2020 tundra and while in for an oil change at my local Toyota dealer after 2 hours I ask what’s going on? They bring me back to look at my truck and explain they can’t get my valve stem caps off. The kid took vice grips to my valve stems, crushing them and marking my wheels all to sh:t. I could smell the touch up paint he used to try and cover his tracks. I informed them my dash tells me my tire psi and I just want an oil change. This was the last straw as I’ve had 4 prior issues to this so I demanded 2 new wheels, which they did but they put the old valve stems back in the new wheels. My dealer is an absolute circus and I won’t go back.

so long story short, you being in MN be careful they don’t seize on you.

Good call, thanks for the tip. I'm thinking a dab of anti-seize on the stem threads should do the trick.

Came here because I'm also after this info, I believe you need all 3 + the bracket

    77615-0C020
    77601-0C150
    77602-0C060
    77603-0C060

I'm not sure if there would be anything else needed, it doesn't look like because RCI says it sends you a bracket and 3 straps, but if you order from some other place you can save at least $100

This probably happened because the valve stems are aluminum and the caps steel, the dissimilar metals are not compatible and will enhance the corrosion process. Anti seize should take care of it but your honestly better off with the plastic caps.

I have never bought different valve stem caps again. When I got home after they messed up my valve stems/wheels they still didn’t get 2 of the caps off, I took a tiny flat blade screwdriver (one for glasses maybe) and a little hammer and split the caps off in about 2 minutes. I just love incompetence at my service centre.
