Got the RCI skid installed with a little help from my nephew. Excited to have some actual protection and quick oil filter access.

Took the truck to the beach at Port A. I towed our 264bh camper down there, averaged 6.5mpg.

Didn’t get any pics, but changed the rear diff fluid today. It was pretty chocolate milkshakey so I’m glad I got it swapped out. Not sure what witchcraft the last guy did, (probably just tilted the axle) but almost 1/2 a quart came out of the fill plug when I spun it off. Oh well, a little saw dust on the garage floor to soak up the oil and we’re good to go

Recommend new breather valve and if you tow a boat or ford streams relocate the vent into your left taillight housing. Milkshake = water in the oil.

After that, go after the oil stain on the concrete with starting fluid or brake clean by spraying the shit out of it. Scrub with a plastic bristle brush and soak up the residue with an old shop rag. You will have to look hard to find the stain after this trick...

Or it will clean the area better then the rest of the stained floor and you will have a faded area to remind you of the job.

Finally knocked out a fluid change on the front differential. It took two trips to HF and a few attempts, but I found an easy out that fit the mangled fill plug the prior owner left for me.

PSA, the Icon HF easy out set is really nice for the $

Yeah I actually already have my diff breather relocated, I think the water has been In there from one of the first outings with the truck before I had the relocation done. We should be good now!
Heck yeah, I’ll give that a shot! And I’ll get to sniff brake cleaner, my personal favorite flavor of cleaner

I agree, HF's Icon sets are really nice. I got their tap n die set for dirt cheap and that extractor set is on my list.

Stock, with a few cosmetic mods.
Engine and oil filter change. Added a Stahlbus Drain Valve too. Did my wifes Highlander as well. I much prefer the aluminum oil filter housing on her v6 than the polymer crap on ours. Anyone make a good alloy one for the 5.7, I’ve seen oem but seems to require the tube swap. Torqued to 18 ft.lbs. but still I’m afraid of damaging it and being in a jam one day.

They often restock, price is around 50. A little higher then if you swap the tube but if you want ease this at lease includes a filter and the housing wrench, so its not priced terribly its just not a "deal"

Its because that isn't actually made for the Tundra. None of the metal housing will say it fits the 2.5gen Tundra. But it fits
They just have to state that since its not applicable per Toyota parts listing's.

Love the pictures! I ordered King 3.0's a few weeks ago and cannot wait to get them in/on the truck. You with stock leaf pack or did you get deaver u748 or something else?

I wish - we were headed home from a baseball game. End of summer is in sight though.

Not necessarily true ... this one does say that it fits my 2014 (and in fact I bought this exact same one because it said it fit the 2014 and it works great). Like you, I was going to recommend it to Xcumminsguy as well, but it said it didn't fit the 2021. Just not sure whether or why it won't.

@Tunrod or anybody that has this setup...

I dunno if I'm missing something here but how did you mount the ICS lower bracket and the Rago top bracket together? The holes on the ICS don't line up to the Rago. I already have the 4 holes drilled in my dash from mounting the Rago already. I can drill 4 more to mount the ICS but then bolts to mount the Rago will hit the ICS. Seems like I have to drill 4 new holes on the ICS to line up with the Rago or am I missing something that's right in front of my face? o_O
    20241014_124253.jpg

Edit: I do see that ICS has their own top dash mount which most likely lines up to their own lower mount but @Tunrod, did you drill holes into the ICS mount?

This the one I grabbed. It's the same except not being plastic that swells a ridiculous amount when it gets hot. You won't regret this grab if you don't mind doing your own oil changes, which, if you are in this site, should be the norm.
