Was wondering if anyone has found or knows of a RV backup camera that works with our center console /Apple Carplay or the digital review mirror at least? I figured there would be something on the market by now.

Toyota offers a wifi trailer cam. I have this, but it does have the additional antennae on top of the cab. Not sure if you can add after-the-fact

Damn I didn't realize that the new OEM camera system also integrated the digital rearview too! It's literally what I need.

I ordered a slide-in Four Wheel Camper, which will render my digital rearview and tailgate backup camera unusable, and so need to come up with alternatives. For the backup, I might just relocate the tailgate camera to the camper. For the digital rearview, I may just go with a wolfbox setup.

I had one like that, RV dealer installed it for me and charged me $800 for it. Lasted maybe a year. For $99 I might give that a shot.

I emailed my local toyota dealer to see if the WCS is installable after the fact, so far no reply.

Yeah man, same here. It’s funny, but a few weeks ago I was thinking, while towing my camper, “if only this rear view mirror camera of mine could somehow integrate with a camera on the back of the camper.” And then like a day later I see the new 2024 Tundras have a system like this. Just kind of sucks because it would be a perfect setup to have the camera from the back of the camper feed directly into the rear view display.

I have wireless camera I bought on Amazon years back but it’s a turd. I rarely use it because it cuts out so frequently.

That is what I thought, i think it was $89 last year when i bought it. Seems to sync up and work every time. It is jittery at speed on the highway, but nice and smooth when you are slowly backing into a camp site.

Toyota's solution seems less than ideal. Have to mount it inside your camper looking out the back window (if you have one)... Why can't they partner with a 3rd party to offer the hardware to connect to the mirror, even if their has to be a stand-alone hub in the truck to convert the image to the mirror? Classic check-in-the-box marketing solution.

    ??

The toyota one does interface with the digital mirror and nav screen. Camera gets mounted outside to the back of the trailer.

BTW, the camera itself is $99 from toyota. The receiver looks to be the expensive factory installed part, along with the bluetooth antenna fins.
