    2024 Tundra Limited TRD Package

First thing, I haven’t hooked up to my Ranger Z520c yet. I have read and seen complaints about rear sag when towing. I’m trying to understand the difference in all package suspensions and systems. Am I correct in that the TRD package does not have the air suspension system? I noticed on a different thread a comment was made that these new suspension systems were supreme to aftermarket. Can someone advise the different package level suspensions and if my Limited TRD will sag when towing my boat?

I would first hook to the boat and see if it is a problem.

There's going to be a certain amount of sag when towing. That's why most trucks come with rake from the factory. Quick bit of google shows that boat weighs less than 2000 lbs. I wouldn't worry to hard about it at that light of a weight, unless there is some reason your trailer has a huge tongue weight bias.

You are somewhat correct. The boat weighs 1850 dry. The mercury 250 weighs about 500-550. By the time you add in the Ultrex TM, two PP blades, batteries, oil, gas, loads of gear, and the trailer weight, it’s approximately 4500.

I guess knowing the rear suspension set up would be an indicator. I’ve seen many sagging tow set ups online/youtube, but none were the TRD package.

Clear cut answer. You are correct and that will happen next week.

You need to clarify "TRD Package" too. TRD Sport or TRD Off Road? Or do you mean TRD Performance package?

Yikes. Thanks for the reminder. It’s a TRD Off Road package in the Limited line.

I don't think you will sag much on your Ranger. I have the Pro which is even softer than TRD OR and it doesn't sag on our Ranger. Even when I tow our center console boat, it is minimal sagging. There's another thread on Sumo Springs which will help sag for heavy loads. Its the nature of coil springs vs leaf springs, give and takes.

Off Road is usually a little squishier for towing, though I don't know how much it applies to the new gen. They've got a completely new rear suspension, so it might not be as much of a difference when towing.

    Lots of stuff!
We have the TRD offroad suspension and it does sag about 1.5 to 2 inches with our 500 lbs tongue weight from our 4,200 lbs trailer. I put a 1.75" levelling kit in so it makes the sag look worse. I also use a WDH to move some weight to the front axle and take some sway out of the experience. Once you connect to the trailer you will be able to determine if it works or not.

Cool video. I think I understand weight distribution…just curious about others experience with the limited TRD OR towing a boat.
