That's one of my pet-peeves. I bought a TQ wrench just for my wheels. I cant stand when tire shops or dealers use impact guns. I have to actually replace some of my lug nuts because the last tire install shop ran the socket over the tip and not they are rusted. Or just clean them up and add some paint.

I may know a guy who has never used a torque wrench on his wheels in 20 years.

I have had multiple Toyotas over the past almost 25 years and I have had the best luck with OEM rotors and OEM pads.

I’m sure there will be lots of negative feedback on this, but the only time I ever had a wheel shimmy or shake upon braking was when I used a different rotor or pad.

I use it now because of all the talk early on about not torquing or over torquing the wheels damages the rotors. But yes, before them, I have never TQ any of my wheels.

I went with OEM rotors but not the pads. I did Hawk because I have had good luck with hem in the past. But I am now on a 2nd set of OEM rotors, 1 set of OEM pads and the Hawk. 3rd times a charm as they say.

Most recently (Feb 2024) I just changed out all four rotors and pads. Approximately 67k on the original OEMs. Mind you, that is with being lifted and on 35s for about 43k of those miles.

Replaced the rotors and pads with OEM, and have had zero issues or shimmy.

Two months later, added new tires (same size) ensured everything was torqued and have had zero pulsation issues.

Yeah, gonna stick with all OEM rotors and pads for when the time comes. I still got a long ways to go but just like to stock up on maintenance items.

DD ss3 max led fogs. interior and exterior leds swapTRD Shift knob.
Finally added the switch for the bed light. So now when the gate is open, the light is ON. The secondary switch to manually turning it off is there. In case i need to have the gate down for a long period of time.

Also added this vent mount phone holder for a Tacoma. Which work great.

Did you find them on craigslist or something like copart? I have an SR5 and would be interested in this switch.

Congratulations! I paid mine off a few months ago, feels great.

Added the top rack and Roam box to the cap this weekend. so much more space than the diamondback I had. Really liked that cover, but this is much more practical.

Installed the Datin Fab Canvas Cage on my truck. It's designed to work with a Softopper, however it fit around my Fastop tonneau cover. Doesn't roll up quite as easy, but it works for now. Eventually I will have a Softopper. Currently there is a Starlink Mini mounted to the rack using a Striker Fab mount.

Next project will be a solar panel. Currently I leave it plugged in to 2 100w panels when parked to keep the fridge cold and power the Starlink. I have a lithium battery and a home built panel housing a Redarc BCDC in the bed.

Looks great. The 83L roam cases are the perfect size IMO. They’re wide enough to add a 100w solar panel on top and not look goofy but also have mounting holes on the top to easily mount a starlink mini for stealth wifi access if you go that way with the case
