HVAC blower fan upgrade

I ordered 87103-60560 on 9/24 from Bell Lexus North Scottsdale (recent 25% promo), and it was shipped on Monday 10/14. Just be patient.

 

Honestly, I do not mind waiting or the card charge, because I am getting a pretty good deal. 25% off and free shipping. I did find other dealers who had it in stock, including my local small town dealer, but the significantly lower price, free shipping and no tax were more than enough to make waiting worthwhile.

The tentative recovery date is 10/28 but this is subject to change based on when Toyota receives these units.

At least there's a date for progress.

 

Ordered my blower last Monday(10/14) from Fred Anderson and just got an email saying it's shipping today(10/23). That was faster then I expected.

Hope you guys get the same thing today

 

Nothing on my end yet, same order date 10/14 930AM CST....

 

Maybe you'll be getting it soon.

 

I still need to install mine.

 

Same order, same date, same email, same thought on timing. With the initial back order note I thought this forum had cleaned out Toyota and we would have to wait months.

Well I did add a couple of drain plugs gaskets to the same order with the blower so now I'm wondering if they're sending me only the 2 gaskets I ordered

I'll report back as soon as I know for sure.

Edit: Package weight is 3.10 LBS so it can't be just the gaskets.

I hope they're at least sending me the correct item.

Ordered on 10/14 Received mine today!

 

Tracking shows to deliver Oct 28th. So a 14 day from order to delivery isn’t horrible.

 

Mine is scheduled to arrive on the 29th!

 

I'll get mine installed this weekend and see if i have more airflow out of my rear AC vents.

 

On the FGT threads Sera of Decatur has a bad reputation. Sera of Birmingham is OK.

 

I had no problem with them. It just took awhile which was understandable since they had 1100 orders come in during the sale and some things went out of stock. It was worth it for the discount, free shipping and no tax.

 

I've ordered from Serra of Decatur a bunch of times. Some popular items may take awhile to get during sales, but they're good.

 

My blower fan arrived yesterday. The correct one this time.

 

Shipped on October 24th and expected to deliver later today before sunset. Let's hope that it gets here, in one piece and not many.

 

Cargo has been dropped off at my door, I mean, the UPS just "plopped" the box there......

 

Literally just rcvd mine too about 20minutes ago. Raced home from work to get it before a porch pirate makes away with it. I would've been real pissed if that would've happened.

 

Mine arrived today as well but got home late and have not yet opened the box.

 

Got mine and it was in good shape, actual box inside a shipping box and the unit is actually pretty "solid" inside the box.
Taking the cover under the passenger dash area proved to be more PITA than I thought. That alone took me over 40 mins......
Then the actual unit, word of advise for those that haven't done it yet, the three screws to loosen it, do the one closest to the firewall and the other one on top side of the fan unit. Leave the one closest to the wire pin alone, cause that will make it easier for you to try and un-plug the wire set.
It was pretty easy to reverse and install, the three wire set had a notch on top so can't install it wrong side, but it went in fine. Just that my messed up knee made this a longer than needed session.

First run afterwards, the front was giving out way more than usual, though, the back, not so much, which is a bummer, that was the main reason for the exchange.
But we will see, hopefully it is a much better improvement than the last one.

 

I may have missed it in the middle pages but how did we go from the land cruiser part number 87103-60481to a 87103-60560? Thought original posting was for the land cruiser and the latter tundra?

 

Both are Land Cruiser 200 Series parts, first is 2008 - 2015, latter is 2016 - 2021.

 

Thanks! When I cross referenced the number it didn't say which vehicle. I could of searched a bit more.

 

Are the 2nd Gen and 2.5 Gen blower motors interchangeable?

 

According to Toyota parts. its lists the part fitting 07-21.
