Found this information for you all. Hopefully it helps with the transmitters.

Welp, that's weird. It says 00-01 got RS3000. But we have two cases, with 02 and either 02/03 finding RS3000 in their trucks. Not only that but I swear I've seen a DC or two with RS3200. But whatever. Not only that but the display chart shows 2000-2002 having RS3200. Weird.

It is a bit odd. I was able to program a remote to my 06 DC, but I'm not too savvy on the transmitter types. The fob that I used was for a 4Runner and has the back window down button on it. It doesn't work on my Tundra back glass, but I didn't expect it to. The lock/unlock/Panic works just fine though.

Welp, after 20 years of shopping with RockAuto, I finally got screwed. Possibly not their fault, but man, couldn't come at a worse time. Not only that but no way to reach a human.

That 2008 CR-V I bought back in August and promptly returned due to issues, I ended up ordering new door lock actuators for 3 of the 4 doors because they were doing the machine-gun thing. They arrived in separate shipments, different days, I assume from diffrent Dorman warehouses. Even though I returned the car, I held onto them b/c I didn't want to pay restocking, and the CR-V owner told me she would pay me to install them. Between both our work and travel schedules, couldn't manage to get around to install.

Finally get to install yesterday. Get the rear two installed, then run outta sun. Wake up this morning, go to install the front passenger side and notice the part looks awful strange, different color, different design. Look up what it's for. Late-teens Nissan Altima. WTF. I assume I ordered the wrong part number, so I scramble to find something locally first and foremost, to get it on order. It's almost double the cost as RA or Summit, but there's a 3-4 day delay on those.

Anyway, after grabbing the part locally, I dig back into my damn RA order. I *DID* order the correct part. Dorman's warehouse shipped the wrong part. It's too late to report a problem with the order, it's been like 6 or 7 weeks, and I guess that's too long? So I head to Google and look up any way to talk to a human. Nothing. But I did find their service@rockauto email, to which I forwarded over my order confirmation, and asked for help.

I'm hoping RA steps up here to correct the problem. If nothing comes of it, I paid with PayPal, but I think their end date on filing a claim is 30 days. Guess I'm out $100 if this doesn't pan out, and I'm eating any profit she'd have given me. I doubt I'll be able to break even on a resale of the item. Only thing I can do is order the correct actuator and return it to the local store and recoup about $40.

This sucks. The universe has really been kicking my fucking ass the last few days.

EDIT: There be light! RA's support team looped back after about 18 hours to say they'll pay to ship it back and give a full refund. Great support. Wish I could've reached a human, but pleasantly surprised with the outcome.

Yeah, I think in my Rockauto order they specifically say you have 30 days to verify you have the correct part and that it’s not damaged. After that I think you’re SOL.

I’m with you on the pain of not able to speak with a human.

If this goes south, I think I'm going to stop ordering from them, stop recommending them as a source. Summit Racing has all the same stuff, and is always within 5% or less of the price (plus or minus), and when it's more expensive, they make up for it (and then some) with free shipping. Not only that, but they also give you a more reasonable 90-day return window, because they understand most of us work, and can't drop everything to install a part. Not only that, but you can't always verify fitment, and it didn't even occur to me to cross-reference the part numbers (they visually looked normal, but I'm dyslexic w/numbers).

Fingers crossed they can make something awesome happen, guess we'll see.

Hey I'm gonna go ahead and reboot my CV axles when I do my lift. I'm using @912 's build thread as a guide. https://www.tundras.com/threads/200...iver-warning-pic-heavy-little-ot.75017/page-7.

I know you can use the Porsche 930 boots as a replacement for the inner boot. I figured I might as well go ahead and do the outer boot while I'm there. Do we know if that Porsche 930 boot will fit as a replacement for the outer boot too? Am I wasting my time dealing with the outer boot, since it's the inner that usually fails? I got 290k on the truck. So they're old...

Sadly with this part, it's delivery only. Ships direct from Dorman. Just like mine did.

I got burnt once by not checking my order prior to the 30 day return window.

They shipped me a folded head gasket so it would fit in the box. Musta been the guys first day.

Well just pulled the trigger on ordering a new skid plate for $250 from Fred Anderson Toyota. Hopefully all goes well. Order is on hold for the moment according to status.

Figured for the price of getting one used plus shipping, it’d be around the same price but now I get new instead.

My used one was due for a replacement. Didn’t want to get a tetanus shot on the next oil change.

That depends on whether you're getting it from your bro shifty or not.

    If they fall thru, holler.

It’s definitely a catch 22. There’s tons of rust free used parts here on the west coast, but because of extremely high shipping expense, it’s not worth the price to buy them.

Great example of what's not available in the US. It's lacking just a little of the charm of the old ones, but still bad ass.

    Only $39,000...

Yeah, and nothing locally I’m afraid. Salvage guy tells me those are one of the first things to go (when in decent shape) before a new wreck gets cold coming into their yard.

All I know is the key fob for the DC is different from the AC RS3200. One has a red led and the other doesn't and never shall they mix. I've tried haha

All I know is my 99 Tacoma was RS3000, while my 03 Tacoma, 03 Tundra, and 06 Tundra were RS3200.
For some reason the 06 has way more range than the 03.

Yes it's usually the inners from lifting. There's some discussion about the best outers to swap in per a rebuilder that I talked with at this link:

    https://www.tundras.com/threads/1st-gen-lunch-table-general-discussion.60450/page-1916#post-3451375

Also video on rebooting, the OEM part numbers, and various aftermarket boot ideas (like the Karek / Porsche 930 or Allpro).

I have similar looking remotes both with and without the LED. Both work in my rs3200.

Weird. I ordered 4 of each led and non led fobs from ebay, just to be safe, because it warned about needing the right one and I didn't know which was right. So I sent back the ones that wouldn't program and kept the other 4, so I've got a spare for each truck.
