Looks like the radiator in my daily Lexus decided to give out. Slight leak, I'm sure it's the plastic tank. 185k on the car so I guess it's about time. Can't really see exactly where the failure point is but there's coolant all over so I think it's safe to say it's time for a new rad, hoses, and thermostat.

Always the cap seams where plastic meets metal and they crimp together.

You might want to consider a new water pump while you're in there. Much easier to change with the radiator out.

It was an in person bidder who probably thought "$2500 is cheap for a toyota truck!" Probably one of the bigger fish who already had a six figure bill due.

I'm not about to get into a bidding war for a second tundra that I don't really need :D

I’ve owned two lowered Chevy short wides. Both manuals. One V6, one V8. Both a hoot to drive. My 1995 was my favorite one. Full color match in 90’s Chevy teal with tan cloth interior. Roll pan, custom wheels, back when 275/60/15s were the shit. I loved that truck a lot. My 2001 was a purchase of necessity. Needed a truck, bought that one brand new for $14k. Black with tan interior. 4.3 manual. Still a fun truck to drive. Didn’t make it to full custom status, sold it to my BIL with 14k miles for $9500. Definitely gave him a deal on it.

Drove past a sign today advertising Newport cigarette cartons for $97.50.

Damn, cigarettes have gotten super expensive. I’m glad I don’t smoke, I still remember when you could get them for $20-$30 each.

    Seems like a luxury today.

That’s $10 a pack!! Damn. They’re still available around here for $35-50 a carton depending on brand.

Doesn’t every state tax them differently? Only reason I can think of for the price difference.

Absolute legend you are. My bump stops looked good, but I wrapped my door strikers with a bit of electrical tape and WALLAH - the rattling has stopped.

I quit almost 2 years ago, when my camel menthol lights (legally called silvers) hit $8-$9 a pack. They were only $3.50 when I started smoking in 2006.

I replaced the crankshaft position sensor, the first time I tried starting after new sensor it ran for longer but still didn’t run right and then every try after that was the same as before.

thank you for the info though, helps me understand our trucks better if I ever have an issue.
