We started getting some snow again as well. Shouldn't last long as we are expected to be in the 50's again Wed-Sat.

We only have about 20 homes in our little neighborhood; some are part time occupied and a few have recently left for the winter, but we still have some elderly folks in a few homes that stay throughout the year... I worry about them when the power goes out or trees and such start falling

I was showing my mom around our neighborhood yesterday and her questions went like this:

I just need to vent for a minute to my TM cru;
As blessed as I tell my wife we are, almost everything is a fuckin' asswhippin'.
We are very blessed to have what we have, but the simplest of things constantly get fucked up for us.

So I got a CT scan for my upcoming shoulder replacement.
For imaging with my insurance, I have to go through a certain process for in-network imaging centers, 0 deductible.
My Doc wants me to use his certain out-of-network imaging place for his 'blueprint' imaging.

Whatever, I scheduled with his imaging place and figured I'd have to pay 20% out of network, $400.
The imaging place called me before the scan and said that since I've met my out-of-pocket deductible for the year, the cost to me was $0.
Great, got it done on 9/20/24.

Got this in the mail this week..
I called Tuesday and they said my insurance denied coverage, I knew they had something fucked up.


Today, after 3 phone calls, 2 to the imaging place and 1 to my insurance.
My insurance never got a claim from them, I saw that last night on the website.
They also reiterated that since my out-of-pocket deductible was met, they would pay it 100%.

What I learned;
The imaging center sent the claim to the wrong insurance company despite having copies of my insurance card and DL.
The wrong insurance company denied the claim and the imaging center sent me a bill..
They're allegedly going to refile it correctly..

I'm getting pretty fucking tired of doing other people's jobs.

Dude... I feel your pain... we dealt with so much bs the last few years due to peoples/companies negligence and inability to do their jobs. We probably spent hundreds of hours over 3 years sorting out countless issues all because people couldn't fill things out correctly or they entered a number wrong

The biggest bitch is that you have no control over what is sent to insurance.... but you are the one who has to call them and sort it out.

I wish you luck. My 2 cents if this starts up again. Record the conversation, ask for their reference number for the call/ticket/whatever so you can reference that when you call back and play them what they told you. We had a surgical office screwing us and we finally had our insurance call them on a recorded line so they could take legal action.

My wife had heart surgery with complications almost 5 yrs ago we just resolved an ambulance bill for 7k

I'm 62 years old and never had a ride in an ambulance.
This year I had a ride 2 rides.

The first was from the house to the ER, which ended up being food poisoning (they think).
I didn't eat or drink anything for 3 days.
My wife tried to take me but turned around because I was blacking out in her car.

The second was from one hospital ER to another hospital ER for my appendectomy..
