Interesting. Wonder how they compare to 6112s tuning-wise.

What he said. They're just threaded 5100s. I didn't realize that so I got the aluma rear shocks. It was overkill at the time, but now I need to upgrade the front to alumas as well.

Iirc, the 6112s are digressive, whereas the 5100s are more linear. I could be completley fucked off on that though.

Very possible. I talked with @memario1214 about it, but it was months ago and, well, you know. I do remember he recommended alumas for me since I do more crawling than fast boi shit. ADD sucks.

I think that would make sense then. Linear is good for the slow stuff since it has soft damping at slow travel speeds. Digressive can be good for the fast stuff since it has firm damping at higher travel speeds.

16x7" +15mm offset. Part number 42611-AF100. Compared to stock 17x7.5", the Outside wheel edge on these moves in toward truck 3mm, but the inside edge moves away from truck and UCA 9mm. little bit more clearance and I think they look really neat.

Gotta wait until my snow tires are done being on national back order haha. They might have got a shipment in recently. Nokian still make their snow tires in Finland, 265/75r16 D-load studded LT3 with 16.5/32 tread. 31.7” down from 33.4”, but oh well.

Have found Noco makes the felt discs too for $.99/set presoaked in oil that seem to work better than the dry felt. Probably like @shifty` is accomplishing by adding the grease. And the cleaner can remove corrosion where can't otherwise get to in the cables and connectors.

I was given the option by Discount Tire to exchange the Cooper Discoverer AT3 LT's I'm running if I didn't like them when I purchased them.

I got real lucky. Small, regional chain, small town with a lot of personal relationships. They didn't have the tire in my stock size, and the employees recommended 265 75 16. It was only after being out on the highway and driving a few dirt roads that I finally backed out of a parking spot and had the wheel at full lock and heard/felt rubbing. I nicely made my case, the owner took a look at the tires and decided if she found the right person, she could sell them as new. So they took them back. But generally, unless it's their screwup, I don't see them taking used tires back.

I don't think they were happy with me.

They've offered that to us on various vehicles as well, but never needed to do it. I imagine they give you a prorated amount if you do return them.

Montana's no ugly place, but I went to college in Utah and I definitely miss the variety of amazing landscapes. You can live in the north and spend time in the mountains, but head 3-5 hours south on a Friday and be in Saturn-scape desert.

Too bad it's overrun with everyone from all over the world these days, but that's how it goes.

No, Montana is most definitely not ugly. Quite the opposite. Idk that anywhere in America is ugly, generally speaking, just differences.

I agree, been exploring Utah on 3 seperate trips now, usually taking off about 2 weeks from work. Everyday is trails and canyons often all to myself and its just non stop exploring. Truly an outdoor paradise where everything is pretty open and free to explore. Would seriously consider moving to Utah someday.

I haven't been able to afford it the last couple springs, but I was on a good stretch of going to Southern Utah every spring for quite a few years after moving to Montana. The last two times I went, I was there three weeks one time, four weeks the other. Definitely a lot to explore.

I'll reiterate that it was a bitch and a half. But cheaper than new leafs or shackles. My truck sounded like a rusty box spring in a whorehouse on dollar night with any movement. I tried spraying and greasing with no improvement. So I decided to start over and replace with OEM. Rides ninja quiet now. Seems to feel more solid and planted on bumps and curves, which could all be in my head.

I will say to you and @Bed Tundy, ATS sells a shackle kit for $70 that seems pretty stout. https://www.autoandtrucksprings.com...-shackle-kit-oem-044830c030-480420c011-bt-t9/

I've got the AT2's. Not super loud, don't have anything to compare them to but f'in Ironman MTs that were on the truck though. Lol.
Got about 48,000 on them give or take correction for Odo being off from size. Seem to wear well. Have 8.5-8.8 32nds left if I did the calculation right.
