I don't see TURBSKI anywhere. Much disappoints.

Anything bigger than 17's on our trucks look lame.
    No. Send it.

    Nah, just his old lady.
That's why I was thinking 17x8.5 would be awesome. Get another inch of rubber to go with it.

Just quick Q. I don't think it is worth making new thread over.

Need to do drain/fill diff. (Also need to do U-joint ugh)
Was going to put Lucas 80W-90 as per recommendation. I THINK I have LSD (owner's site does not list my car having it but I VAGUELY remember seeing it in my window sticker when I got the truck 18 yrs ago), but I did hear the oil is fine even if I do not have LSD. That said, if I do have LSD, do I need to add any LSD additive or is straight 80W-90 fine?

    Thanks.

I use Lucas and I don't add anything else. Zero issues.

Nah the owner of the RCSB wasn't there. Juan told me it was supercharged and that it was there for a lift.
I'm not above lifting a 2wd, but I like it lowered.

Anyone ever fool with water, water/meth, or meth injection? Or heard of it being used in hot weather or high elevation, as a crutch?

a fogger setup (maybe propane as the pressure) in the plenum would probably chill the air pretty good. Guess i'd need a plastic intake to get max effect.

I believe Gadget (Underdog Racing Development) did water+meth on his supercharged 5vz 4runner. I also think he's at elevation.

    https://www.gadgetonline.com/4Run.htm

    https://urdusa.com/aem-30-3002-watermethanol-injection-system-no-tank/

    It lists our trucks.

I put the LSD additive in mine when I did it. Guess you’ll know if you need it if you get some chatter afterwards….

Trucks look good with some aftermarket wheels. CV's need steelies. Or aluminum steelies.

Just thought I'd throw it out there. I've been watching for TRD Pro wheels and saw https://autoparts.aubreyalexandertoyota.com/ currently has a 25% off sale. Once they're in the cart, you end up with about 41% off MSRP with the original discount plus the 25%. Not bad. I assume it probably works for other parts too.

Best part of the parents visiting. Would’ve liked half deer unprocessed but can’t complain about free, and their processor’s smoked sausage is killer.

NEVER use additive unless you have signs of chatter.

It’s called “limited slip” for a reason. Having some slip is mandatory for proper function, as is having those clutch packs grab at some point. If you go applying extra additive when it’s unneeded, to treat a symptom that’s not even there, it’s liable to slip when you need it to grab and it’s likely to be at the wrong time, with consequences.

Swap the fluid with Lucas 80w90. Go to a parking lot and run a few utterly slow figure 8s in the parking lot. Park. Back out slowly with the wheels kicked full lock one way, see I’d you feel or hear any chattering, it’s distinct, you should recognize it. Pull in and back out full lock in either direction a few times. If it’s there you should know.

Straight 80w90 worked with my LSD, zero chatter. Mobil1 full synthetic LS had significant chatter. Even after additive.

If the manual says to use GL-5 that means the bottle says "Meets GL-5 specifications" If it says "recommended for" GL-5 then it isn't really GL-5, only a substitute.

Got me overthinking things. I used the Mopar oem additive for my Jeep. My tundra was just 75W90 I believe. No additive.

I really like those, but I think gold wheels with my gold lower portion would be too much. Maybe not. I dunno.
