What about metal fire pits?

 

Sometimes you can burn charcoal in a fire pit like a solo stove during a burn ban. We buy the big lump cowboy charcoal and use that during burn bans.

 

You coming? It's probably going to be cold AF if we can't have fire.

There was a burn ban at Merus too. I'm sure propane camp fires are allowed.

 

Propane, fire pits that can be covered and don’t make ground contact. There’s a lot of different ways.

It's geting close, y'all. I can't wait to hang with my bros on the trails and at camp. Plus I get to test out my used hard topper for the first time.

This will be the last adventure on my worn out, squeaky OEM LCAs, LBJs, and tie rods. My new Solo LCAs and cam eliminators just showed up today. I also have poly steering rack bushings with billet mount, Total Chaos uniball LBJs, and new OEM tie rods ins/outs ready to install. I don't plan to get to that stuff until December or January. Then I gotta add a leaf to my Alcans, maybe a 1" block too, and finally a 1" body lift. I'll probably leave it alone for a while after all that, until I'm ready to upgrade the rear shocks and try to stuff some 35's, hopefully in 2025. I been dreaming about this for about a decade. Haha


@texoma I cleaned the MAF, smacked the shit outta the air filter and changed the oil. My truck seems to be running fine now. Last I checked two of the four pending codes were gone. I'll check again tomorrow, after I let it warm up before leaving work, and again after I clean the TB plate, and run some seafoam aerosol thru the manifold. I don't think I'll need you to bring your computer if you don't wanna. Up to you. It also just occured to me that I filled up with 93 this week just to see if it got better MPG or improved my 0-60mph. I wonder if that had anything to do with the truck running rich this morning. Probably not, because it happened once before about two weeks ago too. Probably just all the Merus dirt clogging the intake.

 

BTW the weather looks awesome for this weekend.

 

Check your vacuum hoses too. Any cracks are a leak and will degrade performance
