right? like i said, makes me giggle like the little boy i am. :D the amber bar on the bumper doesn't throw nearly as far forward but when they are both on, it's a good mix of foreground and distance.

I already bought the SDHQ mounting kit. I'll be getting the light bar in the next few weeks. Yours is the driving//combo bar right?

yessir. the kit is really easy to follow. toughest part is drilling the big holes on the inside of the hood. mostly because of the angle. everything else is super straightforward.

Did you use the suggested 3 1/4" hole saw or do you think a smaller one would work?

i used the 3.25. you want as much room as possible to get your hand in there. the rubber grommets in the kit are long enough to cover the entire edge of the hole.

i bought the kit and bar from sdhq. there is some cutting and drilling. look at the first pic i posted. you have to take out the little support beams behind the bulge, cut a few holes into the hood from the underside and drill four holes for the bracket bolts. there's a little nip and tick to do on the bulge itself as well. it sounds worse than it is. took me a few hours start to finish.

Yes a decent amount of cutting (for a body panel but it wont be seen) And cutting in 3, 3 inch holes underneath the hood.

I'm curious how the wiring is run.

Could you get a pic of the wiring under the hood when you get a chance? Thanks.

A little of this and a little of that.
That’s major brightness brother. Looks good. I have been thinking about a bulge light too but I’m a little scared to cut those 3 support pieces out of the bulge.

There’s a light made (I forgot the company’s name) to go in there w/o cutting those support pieces but it’s WAY more expensive than the SDHQ one.

i was scared too. then i cut one. it's all good. the only thing i notice is that bulge fits slightly differently in the upper corners but, that's because the kit requires you to cut out the mounting tabs. it's totally stable. nothing moves.
