Remote start not working

I have a 2020 SR5 that came with an OEM remote starter from the dealership. I always use it with the key fab with no problems. I don't have the toyota app. Out of know where, the key fab is no longer starting my car. I have checked everything including fab batteries and made sure my hood is closed fulley. Any advise on how to fix this would be greatly appreciated.

Ps. I never subscribed to any services with toyota.

 

Probably can’t unless you add the subscription. Or go aftermarket remote starter.

no telling. my buddy with a 2016 sr5 , his still works and he never had any subscription to toyota. there are other people like yourself where it just quit out of no where.. dont know how toyota is turning it off on their end..

 

Yeah it's very strange. I am really hoping there is a way to turn it back on with out a subscription. Thanks for the input !

Starting in 2018, the remote start depended on the type of audio system you bought. You likely have the Audio Plus system and the key fob remote start function ends after 3 years. Then you have to buy the remote connect subscription to get it back.
