Yes, Just might be your truck and a Subaru. The filter is one thing. Work allowing time is another.

I'll probably have my youngest with me too.

Me about 5 years ago. There’s a short track mountain bike race series every year where i live, but i always choose to ride a BMX…which is a total disadvantage obviously. But i always gave 100% and was a crowd favorite though.

EDIT: oh, and it's a PK Ripper BMX. It's a remake by SE Bikes. It's a 2017 model that i bought during the middle of a 2018 road trip on my way back from Palmdale, CA to Portland. It was a total craigslist score. I bought it from a (legit) 50+ year old guy who built it from the ground up with awesome components. He stared out with a bare XXL frame (so a 6' tall guy can easily fit on the bike), and the went gonzo from there with cool parts. I paid $700 for it, which was the price for just the carbon forks and the wheel set. He only rode it once. Absolute zero dust or a hint of scratches. He and his three kids were sponsored by various BMX companies so he sold the bike cheap to me. The guy's house was a total bachelor pad. It was him and his three young sons. There was a trophy room with all of their awards, and the living room consisted of a full on drum kit! The dude was rad and raced BMX with his sons. I still love this BMX just as much (if not more) that the first day i bought it from the guy.

Maybe a stupid question, but has anyone seen anywhere in the world or IRL a vinyl wrap colormatch to the 'Natural White (056)' Toyota uses? I find people selling overlays, but no vinyl wrap companies claiming to have a wrap.

Ended up buying a bunch of big bore motorcycle engine parts instead, no toys for the Tundra for a while, only maintenance.

A vinyl overlay is a vinyl sheet with either a printed design or solid color, adhered to a rigid material

Be warned about deceptive business practices from Custom Offsets.

I ended up ordering MST Time Attack wheels from Custom Offsets yesterday. I ordered lugs from them too, but they want to send me splined lugs and I don't want splined. Their website never said they were splined and even shows a pic of normal hexagonal lugs. Now they're fighting me over it. They haven't even shipped beyond creating a shipping label and they want a $15 restocking fee. I'm about to tell them to cancel the whole fucking order if they won't send the lugs I want and if they are going to extort me.

The overlay is printed on. The wrap is formed of that color

After some back and forth they are going to make it right. I told y'all I'll argue with a brick wall... Add money to the situation and things can get intense.

In shifty terms, overlay is a pre-cut piece of vinyl you install over your part. Wrap is the vinyl on a roll ready to layer over your part. Clearly the people selling overlays are getting vinyl sheet/wrap from somewhere to cut the overlay out. I just dunno where. I'm going to start by trying the $10 overlay on scAmazon. $10 is small price to pay for something that may match and if not, I'll send it back.

Nobody should screw around like that with money. If you're not selling exactly what's pictured, that's on you as the vendor. I know it's a radical concept, but some people actually use images to finalize their purchase decisions.

Yep, I was already skeptical about using Custom Offsets for purchases. That pretty much sealed the deal for me. I had similar shitty experience with BilsteinLifts aka SuspensionLifts.com

You may be able to get a color book/chart/samples from the major manufacturers. Probably worth an email or three.

Oh yeah don't get me started on them...
They couldn't give me a straight answer as to why the 6112's supposedly can't go above 1" on an AC. Several emails were exchanged. Clearly they berely know their products and have no concept of suspension geometry.

I suspect it's not widely known that Bilstein's docs have a typo in them. One of these days I need to contact them and try to let them know, I guess. It should be common f'n sense their numbers are wrong, but ... Common sense isn't very common anymore.

Hey y'all! Hopefully a quick question someone here can fire off the answer - what size socket is needed for the stock lug nuts on a 1st gen? I know they're M12x1.5, but what size socket do they need?

My google-fu has turned up both 21mm and 22mm. My niece recently got a 1st gen (05' AC 4.7L 4x4) and I'm getting her a breaker bar and the correct socket to match so when she gets a flat so it'll be easier to change.

You’ll need a 21 mm socket, preferably deep unless the breaker bar clears the wheel rim with a shorter socket.

Sweet! I appreciate it! Yes, deep socket and a short extension as well. Her truck didn't come with a spare tire tool kit, and the "Tacoma" version with 21mm tool is $30 but the "Tundra" version with a 22mm tool is over $70. So grabbing a Tacoma spare tire tool kit so she can lower her spare, and then a breaker bar, deep 21mm (thank you again) and a short extension that can live in the truck. Should make it much easier for her, she's no wimp, but having some extra leverage is always nice because for whatever reason she's prone to flat tires haha.

She may not need the short extension since she can always use the breaker at a 30 degree angle similar to the original lug wrench used to remove the lug nuts. This is especially true if she has a need to use one foot on it for leverage in case someone over tightens them with an impact. In that case, you want as few parts as possible that could accidentally come apart.

I began charging the lube techs at work for their own labor when they overtightened a lug and it snapped. Amazingly, after 2 days of enforcement, the entire shop began using torque wrenches and never looked back. Money is a great motivator.
