Here is the problem. Underlying your statement are moral issues and other factors (e.g. banks, money printing). They are unspoken assumptions, but they are there. My example of what real, actual, true capitalism is contains no hint of a moral dilemma. There are no other factors involved. It's a very basic economic issue, not a moral one.

I don't want the ban-hammer coming down on me, so I have to refrain from further comment. Respectfully.

Edit: put simply, economics is not about morality. To conflate the two is an error in thinking.

I think the problem is more-so the feeling of unshackled capitalism. Prices and things seemed to spiral out of control without a lot of relief.

I'm not an economist nor a smart man, so my research is pretty low.

I appreciate your humility and honesty. I believe many conflate corporatism and fascism with capitalism, for whatever reason(s) and, therefore, real capitalism suffers a bad name.

That sounds delicious! I want some!

tl;dr - a lot of the "isms" that are lambasted in social media are actually overwhelmingly positive for the masses. Capitalism and socialism being the two biggies. But the reality is, very few manage to pull the core elements of them off properly, and the major problem, the masses don't actually understand the concepts, due to massive disinformation/fear campaigns from all over the place. Mostly coming from those who make money off the ignorance of the masses and bastardization of those "isms".

An Irishman walks into a bar. He orders two shots, drinks them both, and then leaves.

The next day, the Irishman returns, orders another two shots, drinks them both, and then leaves.

He continues to do this for some time, when one day the bartender questions him, "How come you always order exactly two shots?"

The Irishman replies, "well, you see my brother and I used to go out drinking every night, but he lives across the country now, so every night, I order two drinks. One for myself, and one for my brother."

Things remain the same for a while until one day the Irishman comes in and orders only one shot. The bartender becomes concerned and asks him, "how come you’re only ordering one shot? Did something happen to your brother? Is he ok?"

The Irishman replies, "of course not, my brother’s fine. I just quit drinking!"

Ok, apparently I was able to pay for it with rewards points. So I only had to pay $35 in tax. Awesome. Yay, to be a consumer.

If anyone wants a near-new W650 in mint shape, I'll be selling next month. Still has the screen protector installed from the factory, will ultimately be like an open-box purchase.

What does an Irishman consider a 7-course meal?

Like 48k out of 75k? Last summer I got a Chase Sapphire card. If you racked up X# of purchases in the first few months they gave you 60k points for free. So I used it when we had to go Italy and racked it up in no time flat. I’ll probably regret it later but whatever. I need to not spend real money right now. I had no clue how to spend it but when I loaded up my order and chose PayPal, PayPal recognized the card and let me use points to pay. I said, “why not?!” And that pushed me over the edge.

    Whoosh! Right over the head!

I been considering buy a used power sub. Anybody have experience with these compact bass solutions? I don't listen to much hip hop. But I appreciate some bass in my rock n roll. Not looking for anything crazy for the 03. The 06 has a kicker 10 that is more than enough. I think an 8" would be fine.

Ended up adding it as a reverse light, really lights up the field of view on my reverse camera. Like it so far for an 18-dollar light. A switched option would be cool for tailgaters, but….
