    On my 2023 TRD Pro:
37" Mickey Thompson Baja Boss M/T tires
RRW 17" RR&-H Matte Bronze wheels

Leveled the truck to fit, so i dont lose the fox suspension. I had to do a few little cuts for rubbing. So far not bad, but they still rub just a tiny bit when turning maxed out.

Super sick! really like that front bumper. I see you got the protection ring on your rims with the exposed bolts, did they come with that or did you add it on after? i have been going back and forth with thinking about getting those for mine too.

It does, I’m not convinced I like just how much the wheels are poking out. There’s a marketplace sale that a guy has these in gunmetal and I like the color and style, but the 4.5” bs may be a bit too much. I’m going to google some more and see if I like or not.

Came with the wheels. They are decorative, but they look pretty nifty.

Let my RW Wheels go wrapped in Dick Cepek 315/70r17. I put some OEM platinum wheels wrapped in Mickey Thompson Baja Legend EXP in 295/65r20. I don't go offroad that much and just rip up some logging roads to get to some fishing/ camping spots.
Seem a bit more responsive in my turns/handling. Kinda going backwards...thinking powder coating them black.

    New year new setup!

Truck had the same wheel and tire setup for over 14 years so I finally decided to switch it up now that it's becoming more offroad worthy :mudding:

    Old:
18x9 Ultra Motorsport Maverick 234-235 wheels +25 offset
    275/65r18 BFGoodrich KO2

    IMG_6800.jpg
    IMG_6794.jpg

    New:
    17x8.5 Raceline Rogue 958MC +35 offset
35/12.5/17 Mickey Thompson Baja Boss AT

    IMG_6813.jpg
    IMG_6817.jpg
    IMG_6819.jpg

I took off both mudflaps on the front, but it still rubs ever so slightly on the bumper side fender liner. Should be easily fixed with just a little bit of heat to push them in some. No BMC needed :)

The new 12.5” tires stick out almost identically to the older ones with the skinnier tires and more negative offset. Also fun fact, this new wheel tire setup weighs EXACTLY THE SAME as the old setup, which I thought was pretty crazy considering I went from the stock tire size to a 35!! The speedometer is a little slow now, but it still burns the tires off all the way through first and half way through second on stock 4.30 gearing (I still want 5.29s anyway lol)

    Before:
    IMG_6791.jpg

    After:
    IMG_6812.jpg

Overall I couldn't be happier! Hopefully I won’t get tired of this new look for another 14 years

Regear and rear suspension up next:spending:

That wheel and tire combo look badass. I have been considering those wheels.

Very nice upgrade! I have the same Mickey T's on Methods as well and I love them. I like the machined look too!

Machined wheels were a must do for this upgrade. I love the old school look of big meaty tires on small machined/chrome wheels! these mickeys have been great so far as well. They really grab on packed down icey snow compared to my old KO2s I had (even when those were brand new they didn’t handle those conditions very well)

For a long time the alpha rex headlights were my favorite upgrade on this truck to bring it into the future with a more modern look, but now this new wheel/tire setup definitely takes the cake. Highly recommend!

Looks awesome! Didn’t know they made Baja boss AT! That’s why i went with Toyo. I’ll definitely look at Baja on my spare sets.

Here’s a little update on the rubbing situation.

Originally I had thought I was rubbing on the fender liner, which today I corrected with some heat and a rubber glove to push them in more. BUT… I’m rubbing elsewhere and it doesn't seem to be as easy of a fix…

There is only one other person I’ve seen on this forum that’s ran into this, and it was on stock +60 mm offset wheels :monocle: This person seemed to be running 6+ inches of lift, and had flipped their tie rods to mount on top of the spindle instead of bellow as pictured.

Everyone else I’ve read about with tie rods rubbing had the inner tie rod boots rubbing on the coil overs with the wheel turned to lock the opposite direction.

My hypothesis is that the driver and passenger side tie rods were flipped when they were replaced 3 years ago, and that they need to be swapped back to correct it. I’m assuming since I had 18” wheels before they were large enough to clear without issue, but would love to hear if anyone else has ran into this and how they might have solved it.

Also, has anyone ran the coachbuilder upgraded tie rods with this high of a positive offset 17” wheel? On their website they recommend for 17” wheels to be +25 or lower offset but I figured since I’ll be pulling them off, might as well upgrade if I can
