Walgreens being bought out

A company called sycamore partners is buying Walgreens. They have a notorious track record of wage theft, unsafe conditions, and just general fuckery.
I just wanted to put this out there, it's gonna get worse before it gets better. I personally refuse to let my elders get their meds from the same folks who own and operate hot topic and torrid.

 

I don't know about Walgreens but Walmart does that here and I never hear anyone complain about them.

 

Walmart has been doing it for 40 years, everyone complained, Micheal Moore made a movie (the high cost of low prices... It's a decent watch) and we all just kinda moved on.
Honestly, don't get me started on Walmart, my grandma was an employee for almost 40 years and they did her dirty as hell.
After 38 years they offered her a 30 cent/hr bonus if she stayed, not even a penny for every year the assholes.

OOOH man.... I worked AP at Target and we had a couple who went in, used credit cards to buy dovets, just to return them right away, they just wanted the large bags. Female went to purchase a stroller, went back to the stroller aisle, unpacked and discarded the stroller and proceeded to pack 3 bags full of clothes. They then packed said bags in the stroller box and tried to push out the front doors. We had an undercover AP follow them all around the store as we followed them via the cameras. The undercover had to punch out for lunch, so I made the stop by the doors....
Total was about $2,300 in total merch recovered. Female left the store to get the car, male tried to push out, once I stopped them he just left the store, expecting to be apprehended, but there was no one else left... LOL... It was a long day, and I do have all pix and vids following these people.... This was before the over $900 law was implemented.

 

I am without words.....

 

Walgreens has been F'd up for at least the last 10 years. A family member use to be a pharmacy manager (has a Pharm D and Geriatric's license in half a dozen states). The dumbass store manager decides how to run the pharmacy because it is part of the store - yet has no license or knowledge other than being a "manager." Then said dumb ass cuts staffing and hours of the pharm techs and requires a single licensed pharmacist to be on duty for 10 plus hours a day. By law there must be a licensed pharmacist behind the counter at all times - so without backup they can't even step out for lunch or even a pee break. To boot when the meds come the store manager leaves them on the floor out in the open, narcotics and all. Typical for Walgreens Corporate. No wonder they are in the tank and have been for a long time.

 

I don't use Walgreen's or CVS. Not since COVID.

 

Wonder if @memario1214 has considered opening up pharmacy..

I was older, late 20's in between leaving the military and joining the fed. I was more like IDGAF, my boss was probably younger than I was and had a group of friends that would go in our office.. I labeled them the Hello Kitty Club since every time I would go in there, they would be giggling like a slumber party. I clashed with a peer since he felt he should get all the acolytes, I gave my recoveries to the younger kids, trying to get their bonus or meet their quota for the month. I enjoyed recoveries more than apprehending people, just took more work and more time to deal with plus waiting for PD was a drag, 4+hours.

 

I don't use Walgreen's or CVS. Not since COVID.

Why is that?

(I will no longer refer to Ch*na Virus or Wuhan Flu that way. When we rename all the over viruses then maybe but until that time, not playing the game anymore).

I like Kung Flu too as I am a fan of the song.

Called it Scamdemic for a time but maybe since 2022, Plandemic.

 

When I worked in a store it was a better society with a lot less crime.

 

Right at the peak of the Covid scare our local Walmart decides to rearrange the store resulting in people spending way more time inside the store. Either they knew something we didn't about Covid or they were being very irresponsible.

 

You used the right word there "scare."

Stores do "resets" so people will have to look around longer for what they want and end up buying more things they didn't realize they needed when they came in. Be interesting to see that store's profit then verse resets in the past.

 

Don't know about other locations, but our local ones literally refused to fill scripts they didn't agree with.....

 

Let me guess....those 'scripts happen to be Ivermectin or hydroxychloroquine?

I tried to do a tele-med call to get hydroxychloroquine but the doc either didn't call back or when he did call back I was mowing grass right then and missed the call. I ended up not fooling with it but did score some Ivermectin and started the IMASK protocol of vitamins that August (2021).

I had a doc at that time but never asked him about it.

I still have Ivermectin left over and just last week supplied some to a neighbor who is (again) sick with Ch*na Virus (vaxxed 4 times). He gets it pretty often but has finally woken up to the lies. Said he did "4 doses of the horse paste and felt fine." I get any virus symptoms and I do a dose of Ivermectin, well by next day. Maybe it's a virus, maybe not.

I still follow IMASK vitamin protocol about every other day. Tried today but apparently inhaled some or all of those! Still alive. See thread by me in General Discussion or whatever it's called. LOL.
